Customer Reviews

White Solar Powered Light Filtering Skylight Blind for FCM/QPF/VCM/VCE/VCS 4646 Models is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great addition to a great skylight. We purchased this shade to cover the replacement skylight we have recently purchased and installed in our dining room. The old skylight (original to the house) did not actually let in much real light, while the new Velux skylight lets in the sun with all of its glory intact. Unfortunately, too much so in this extreme summer we've been having. Since this skylight is in a vaulted ceiling, we didn't want to go with the rod-driven system. The shade installed easily, and blocks enough light to keep the room much cooler. The built-in solar battery charger means that the shade has zero wiring required - but don't forget to plug the battery in before hanging the shade. The instructions were in pure pictogram form, except for the comic-book style "Snap! Snap!" labels where appropriate. The remote control is very simple - three buttons - and unobtrusive. We've mounted it next to our thermostat control. When we activate the remote, the automatic movement of the shade becomes a source of endless fascination for our cats.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unimaginable stupid design I purchased this solar powered blinds together with solar powered venting. The venting works good, but the operation of blinds seems to be very very stupid since I always got the operation error. The blinds just like a high school student robot project, but I wonder why it is hard to operate it.
