Answer:
Yes, I've gone from 60 to 80 psi and that may have taken a couple of minutes. There doesn't seem to be any real problem handling 80 or 85 psi.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Step Up From Cheap Inflators Would give it 5 stars if I had owned it for a long time, as it is I have only used it a few times. I have vehicles with leaky tires that need to be topped off often. When I use the cheaper cigarette lighter plug in inflators they tend to blow fuses in the car and sometimes just burn up. This compressor running straight off the battery appears to have the muscle to get past those issues though I haven't filled any giant truck tires with it. It looks and feels well constructed, hose snaps on easily, etc. Only drawback is the pressure gage doesn't read accurately while you're pumping, you have to switch it off to check pressure and the switch is on the compressor, not at the air chuck where the gage is - just a minor complaint. For just upping your inflation muscle above a cheapo compressor it's pretty darn good. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great air compressor for RV! Needed a good air compressor to carry in my RV... With the ability to air tires up to 100 psi. This compressor does the job perfectly! Very well pleased, and Home Depot had the best price and free shipping! January 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Portable Compressor The compressor is compact, very portable and easy to use. It quickly and easily tops off my 80 psi truck and trailer tires. I have not needed to use it to add more than 20 psi to a tire so I don't know how long it might take to go from 0 - 80 psi but that would be a very rare occurrence anyway. The one thing to be aware of is the included air hose does not stretch out very far unless the compressor is anchored down or held - I had an old hose laying around so I threw it in the carry case and just link the two hoses together if I need to stretch it a greater distance. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better than expected. I purchased this for my Ford F-250 7.3 Truck. The suggested psi is 80. No issues whatsoever pumping air into the tires, which usually takes 5-10 minutes depending on how much air the tires need. I just to play around with positioni of the unit to get back to the rear tires, but no big deal. Seems like a well built unit with a nice sturdy case. December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Portable Air Compressor High quality product with great performance for its size! August 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product Did a test with my 265/70/17's and took them down to around 13PSI, then filled them back up to 38PSI using the 300P by Viair. Came out to be around 2 minutes per tire. Much quicker than my old compressor that plugged into the cigarette lighter. Very happy with the product. Only CON: The battery connecter cable could be about 3 to 4 feet longer. I have to clip the battery cables to my battery and then hang it just off the front of the truck just to hit the ground, then walk the air cable all the way to the back of the truck to fill the rear tires, putting tension on the unit and possibly tipping it over. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best light-duty tire compressor I have ever used. Excellent product with quick tire inflation. Connecting cables to battery terminals are a bit short, making it awkward in some cases to keep the device on the ground and not partially suspended by the cables, which definitely should not happen. They should be at least 18 inches longer. But they can be worked around, and this is the best light duty compressor I have used. December 10, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by so far this is a great product Its a good compressor for the money. There's not much else to say. I would recommend it. I put this one on my wrecker. February 21, 2014
