Customer Reviews

Rated 1.0 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very bad experience with the product I bought the product to stain some wood and it ruined my project.it acted like a paint instead of a stain. I use miniwax on other pieces and it worked well but varathane was a nightmare, now i have to go back to hd to buy wood again and different stain. July 28, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not Any better than Minwax I needed this product to stain a bathroom vanity I was building for a customer. She lives out of town and requested Varathane because in her area it is readily available at the Home Depot store. The stores in my area do not carry the product so I had to order it online. Although the shipping was speedy, I did not like the idea of having to buy 2 quarts rated to cover 550 sq. ft. to stain what amounted to 18 sq. ft. of cabinet. Also, at almost $30 with tax ($15 per quart) it is twice as expensive. Why would I pay twice as much for an equal quality product for any other reason than a customer requested it? I wouldn't. Next time I will specify a brand that I think is a quality product that is reasonably priced. March 13, 2013
