Customer Questions & Answers

Will this work well with floors that have been painted?

Asked by: Picky
Varathane Floor Finish Polyurethane can be used over painted floors if the paint has dried for 5-7 days before application. It is also important to test the polyurethane in a small inconspicuous area first to ensure compatibility with the previous coating and the desired color.

what is different between 275VOC and none specify VOC

one show 275 VOC and other did not show but different in price.
Asked by: Krit
VOC stands for volatile organic compounds, and the reason for the advertising of VOCs in some product descriptions is that numerous states have regulations for controlling VOC levels. Many products with lower VOCs are advertised more boldly to assure customers we are abiding by regulations and giving them lower VOC options without reducing quality of the product. Every product has a VOC level that can be found on its Material Safety Data Sheet.
