Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect tool for carpet removal This flatbar was an essential tool for removing our carpeting. We used the flatter of the two sides for lifting the tack strips and the curved side for pulling the nails.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vaughan Super Bar Great tool that makes quick work of demolition with minimal damage to the materials. I recommend pairing it with a 3lb drilling hammer (i.e. hand sledge or B.F.H.). You can make due with a regular 16 oz. hammer, but the sledge makes it that much easier and quicker. Don't forget about the hearing protection, especially in confined spaces. Beating on this thing with a hammer in a confined space like a closet will make your teeth rattle without it. On the negative side, removing finishing nails is a bit of challenge at best. You will want to pick up a Japanese style nail puller as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well rounded tool This tool has a lot of good features. It doesn't seem to flex when prying. Has plenty of leverage. Paint is holding up well
