Does it require hard wiring or is a power cable included?

I'm no electrician. I would prefer to just plug it in.
Asked by: Michael
Yes, it requires hard-wiring. Since fan is up high where the heat collects, we added an ON/OFF switch at ground level.

Customer Reviews

14 in. Industrial Exhaust Fan is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good deal for the money The exhaust fan worked as advertised and moves quite a bit of air out. The louvers close as they should if the fan is installed evenly. I'm very satisfied with the product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good size but not as sturdy as we'd hoped Motor is good, but The louvers are very very light and flimsy. Almost the weight of an aluminum beer can, so they are vulnerable to damage and flap around a lot. Wished we could have looked at it before purchase but this product in ONLY available as an on line purchase

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality materials This product is hardly not what I expected and I would not categorize it as industrial. It is advertised as "... housing is made of galvanized steel...". The only metalic components I find are the wiring in the motor and the screws into the plastic housing. The advertisement also indicates "...The exterior shutters close tightly...". The shutters do not shut tightly and in no way would prevent a draft.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from kinda cheap While this is a good size, we found the outside metal sides do not meet and had to build corners for the entire piece. Also the luvers will not close with out manually going outside and pushing on them. But the fan blows good ! ha

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product The product I saw on line said it was 14in. opening, but when we got it, it was larger than what I expected, about three inches larger, that's why we returned it.
