Customer Questions & Answers

Can the lattice be overlapped for extra privacy?

Don't really know how to explain it more. I just overlap them so there are no holes.
Asked by: thesooz
I suppose so, but you'd have to offset one panel over the other one to have all the spaces covered. Maybe just go to a solid barrier instead.

0.2 in. x 48 in. x 8 ft. Redwood Vinyl Privacy Diamond Lattice is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Expansion Problematic Installed 5 panels to shade open side of carport. Installed exactly as directed by screwing into 1 1/2" square aluminum carport supports. Provides good shade. After three days of 25 mph winds, several screws popped completely out, and vinyl tore away from several screws near corners. Expansion a problem as panels warp and wavy with warm weather. Doubt they survive summer in Southern AZ. I followed install instructions to account for expansion, didn't work. Panels too floppy. I am doubling the number of attachment screws. Short term use only until I can replace with fiberglass sunscreen.

The lattice was fine but the edging that we used to install it should never be sold in Arizona-it totally softened in the 80 F. sun & literally was falling off, despite using many of the screws they suggested. It caused tons of extra work-had to be completely removed & returned to your store.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from mixed review Eight panels were purchased to replace aging redwood lattice on the side of the house under the porch. The good: The color was a good match to redwood and ~10 bucks cheaper per panel than real wood. The material was good for my custom installation, needing lots of angles and slots. It is easy to shape with simple hand tools like a saw or snips. The not so good: The panels were shipped rolled up, had to be laid flat for a couple of weeks prior to installation. This vinyl material has little resistance to bending, not thick enough to support its own weight and breaks when it bends. The panels require lots of care and ideally, many hands when installing.
