CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1 reviewer.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent for my intended use as replacement window sills In my 1970 built home the interior jalousie window "sills" were originally finished on the inside with gypsum board and galvanized metal corner bead. (Exterior sill was pre-built as part of the aluminum window frame.) (Lots of salt in the air in Hawaii ... not friendly to building materials.) I replaced most of these interior "sills" with wood over the years -- all but two ... the bathroom windows. About 5 years ago, I remodeled one bathroom and made the window sill from the wall tile I used on the wall. Last year, there was some minor movement of the house -- but enough to crack the tile window sill. I used this utility board, ripped in half, to make a new sill. Last week I replaced the other bathroom window sill with this board. Tomorrow I will replace my wooden sills in the living room -- 22 linear feet in all. So far, so good. My only concern is expansion/contraction of the PVC, but no problems yet with the 5-year installation. Note that the front and back of this board is not flat/smooth. One side is a faux wood-grain pattern; the other side has three shallow grooves (~1/32" deep) equally spaced along the length. Wish the smooth side wait totally smooth -- i.e. without the grooves.
