The Lighted Post caps are a great way to add light to the perimeter of my fence, add light to the entrance of my drive way and a little sophistication to my split rail ranch fence. They look fantastic!! I'm very happy with the value, No electrical needed...

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by Alissa Look great! Work well!
I purchased these for vinyl fencing posts and they worked out very well. I've received a lot of compliments on them. They really add a nice touch to the picket fencing. These fit OVER wooden 4 x 4s, NOT over the vinyl post sleeves (as some reviewers assumed). I've had them three months now and they provide decent lighting. These cost the same as a lot of the flat post caps and these look way more expensive. Great value!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by Rocky Great caps! They light up all night!
I purchased these back in May, and these post caps are excellent. They charge during the day, and light up at sundown. They are not super bright, but definitely nice ambiance that it adds to your deck. I have about a dozen of these at each post cap, and they have been working w/out issue since May now. They stay lit the entire evening, all the way to the morning early hours and sunrise. I have a security system, so I can see that they stay lit this long. Installation was a snap! You just pull the tag inside the housing, w/ just twists counterclockwise to unlock the cap. Changing batteries hasn't been of issue since May now, but when the time comes, its very simple to do so and access them. They come w/ mounting screws and they were very affordable. About $5 each I believe at the time I purchased them. Buy these post cap solar lights, you won't regret your purchase!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0Â by doityourselfer High dollar look without breaking the bank
This product was installed on our front porch hand rails which are painted white. This product was heavier than I expected. And they are strudy!!!! The light is brighter than what I also expected. Curb appeal. I had one that was damaged cosmetically but I order 12 only needed 7 (cheap for the great entrance to my home). Installed last night and came on at night and were still light at a few minutes before 7 AM. It looks like a million bucks so a suggestion to those that want to finsh the railing install these instead of the boring wood toppers you wont regret it. By the way my wood post are 3 1/2 and fit snug. So if you have 4x4 it may need some adjusting.

I purchased 12 of these for my deck. They look nice and all worked out of the box. In the first month one stopped lighting at night. I traced the problem to a bad solder joint on the LED. Two more would run for a couple of hours at night and then shut off. I traced these to bad photovoltaic cells. Battery charge current during the day was only a small fraction of what I measured on the other lights. I replaced both with PV cells from my old patio lights. They are cheap and look nice, but it is going to be a constant battle to keep them working. These use NICAD batteries. NIMH would work much better at the low temps we get here in Nebraska in the winter.
