Is there a "temporary" plug/cover that could be used in a line post side for "future" continuation of fence? Or can rails holes be cut into end post?

Answer:
The measurement of the bottom of the post to the bottom of the first routed hole is 36-3/8 inches. If you bury 12 inches in concrete you will have 24-3/8 inches from the ground to the bottom of the first routed hole.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect... These posts matched my 12 year old vinyl posts. Right height and size. Will buy more. September 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by meets out expectations and requirements. installation was smooth and finished product looked good. June 4, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Replacement Accidentally backed into one my posts during winter and it broke. This replacement post was exactly what was needed. Other than being whiter than the rest of the fence, it looks perfect. May 5, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Veranda compatibility issues I bought these along with the Veranda 16 ft vinyl fence rails, enough for roughly 400 ft of fence. It's unfortunate that these posts are only sold online, while the 16 ft rails are only sold in store. I would much prefer to be able to get the posts in store as well. My biggest complaint is that 16 ft rails are too wide for the holes on the posts. Apparently the Veranda 8 ft rails are narrower and will fit with these posts. I wanted to use 16 ft rails for 2 reasons: 1.) They make a more stable fence, and 2.) the 16 ft rails are the exact same price as the 8 ft rails (meaning using 8 ft rails would cost twice as much). So, I was left with vinyl fence products from the same company and same store which are not compatible. I had to cut out 100+ holes just to make them fit together. This added a lot of time to the project. April 21, 2014
