I dont know how sturdy this would be but I just wanted to note that it may be possible. Read Less

Answer:
Just to expand on Gorgio's answer - when using a circular saw, a (ripping) blade can be flipped for cutting the panels. This way the teeth are reversed and will not tear chunks out of the vinyl. A smaller tooth blade can also be used, but I would suggest that any circular saw blade be reversed.

Dear Valued Home Depot Customer, We reached out to the MFG for more information and below ids their response.
"The 68 in. x 68 in. Vinyl Windham White Fence panels can be cut down. Determine the size of panel needed and simply cut the rails to this length. (Note: it is recommended to avoid ripping a picket to width and utilizing a full width picket)."

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.0 out of 5 by 23 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value Assembled the fence. Added treated 4x4x10 treated post with treated 1x4x8 to fully support posts. Think for the rest of using 6x6 and having ripped to size. Easier and cheaper. Put the fence panel up with post intact, took two of us to make sure of leveling and pouring cement. Dug holes a full 48" for posts. I filled hole for post with some pea gravel then water and poured the quickrete in on top of water. Glad I got the steel clips though. I have had these two hanging for a couple of weeks through some storms and did fine. Added a couple of support post later in the middle of the panel for good measure. Now I will install the other 18 panels. They will have a chain link fence for additional support though. The hardest part was insert wood posts into vinyl post to strengthen. Also definitely would not want to do alone October 18, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I don't believe there is a problem with the product. I did not install the product because it just did not have the look my wife was looking for. My problem was with the condition of the product when it was shipped to me. It was obvious that it had been returned by someone else before it was shipped to me because the product was muddy, scratched and dented. I took photos out of the box. I put the product together anyway. It went together fairly easily. The top cap was difficult to assemble as recommended so I slid the the cap on sideways instead and that was a better way to assemble it, for me. I will attempt to return the product. Hope that goes smooth. I hope they just don't repackage it like they did the last time. October 25, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value. Have not installed yet but fast delivery and very good value. October 18, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Self Assembly Fence Panels The fence panels are pretty easy to assemble. The only challenge I encountered was that when assembling the cross braces, it was not very easy to properly seat the pieces completely. October 18, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Durability and look I've gotten commentsfrompasserbys onhownicethe fence looks. I lost my lawn guy overanissue ofdamage from his equipment busting a whole inthebottom of the fence. The whiteis impossible to keepcleanand i havenot been able to clean with just a hose. I have a powerwasher on my gift list, but i am worried thatmay damage the fence. I havespecifically asked my lawn guys to stay away with the weedwacker and i haverecently put down some black mulch with white stone for an accent. Looks great. September 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value My first attempt at installing vinyl fence. Each panel needs assembling so beware if your knees are bad! Wasn't difficult, just tough on the knees. March 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great alternative to wood fencing The appearance of wood fencing degrades in just a few years and I was considering lower maintenance alternatives when the cost of this panel was reduced temporarily. I was hesitant to purchase it because some reviews questioned the structural integrity of the panels, but I had already installed extra fence posts when I thought I'd be building with another material and I knew the extra posts would keep it rigid. But when the pickets and rails are installed correctly, the panels are very strong. I don't understand how the reviewer had an issue with wind blowing it apart. Since I had my posts already installed, I had to improvise the installation slightly. That is, I screwed the panels directly into 2 x 4 rails that I had attached to the posts instead of using the brackets. This method worked out well and I covered the screws by removing the rails from one side, attaching the panel to the rail and re-installing the rails over the screws. My daughter helped me assemble the panels and it was a great project for us to do together. We finished about 60 feet of fencing in a couple of hours. She got a good sense of accomplishment. Of course, I haven't mentioned how many more hours I spent digging post holes, attaching the rails and everything that was complete before the panels went up. August 11, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good purchase Product was made similar to other types of fencing products. Easy to assemble. July 26, 2016
