The railings are just what we needed to complete the front porch revamp. We had installed the main porch support posts earlier.
The overall effect once the railings are installed speaks for itself in the photos, we are very pleased with the (almost) finished project. The stair rail still needs to be installed to complete the job. The concrete path needs drilling, so I have to wait until I have a hammer drill.
Despite original "fears" that vinyl would not be strong enough for the job, the components are extremely sturdy and, at the same time, very easy to cut to size and very lightweight. There are fixings a-plenty and the installation does not require any "expert" skills, just a saw, a drill and a screwdriver and a spirit level. You don't even need a 2nd set of hands.
Don't forget to buy the post supports and all the "finishing off" knick knacks like base trim and top caps.

We really like the style of the railings, but the size was not right. We went by the advertised size (6' x 3'), when, in fact it actually measures 5'8" x 3'. We needed the extra 4" for our porch and were disappointed that they did not fit. In the specs it did say that the measurement was 5'8" but we didn't think the dimensions would be something other than what was stated on the picture on the webpage.
We had to take these back (3 of them) and reorder 8' pieces that were double in price for 2 more feet. Especially since we only needed 4" more for each piece. If the length was the same as advertised, they would have fit perfectly. The project is costing us a lot more than we anticipated. We will like the end result I'M SURE, but it is a little disheartening to know the project is more costly than we anticipated. We would have rethought our choice if we had known. I want to say that the staff at Home Depot was excellent through this process and we love shopping here because they are so knowledgeable and helpful.

These are not 6ft panels. They are only 67 3/4 inches. I just got burned by this fact. Two of the panels are too short by an inch or two in spite of careful measuring to make sure all the gap between posts was less than 6ft.. other than that the product is fine.

I built a deck a few years ago using the white vinyl williamsburg railing. Combined with the Choice Deck by another company it lQQked incredible. I added a pool and extended my deck with a step down to the pool and purchased 5 sections of the railings to continue the same scheme like any other normal person would. The pool and deck along with posts were installed waiting for the railings to be deliveed cause now these are considered special order to finish it off. I started to install the railings and found for some reason i was off with my mesurements. Turns out the railings are no longer 36" high as stated on the title above and packaging I ordered from but rather 33" high. Home Depot uses the 3 " space between the bottom of the railing and the deck to call it 36". I have to cut down all the posts so they didn't seem to high and as for the final install the only saving grace was this railing is on a different level from the previous main deck except for the gate I was building from thew railing to install in the new opening I created on the upper level to get to the pool. I now have to order a custom gate so the heights are the same....Not very happy :(....
