The railings are just what we needed to complete the front porch revamp. We had installed the main porch support posts earlier.
The overall effect once the railings are installed speaks for itself, we are very pleased with the (almost) finished project. The stair rail still needs to be installed to complete the job. The concrete path needs drilling, so I have to wait until I have a hammer drill.
Despite original "fears" that vinyl would not be strong enough for the job, the components are extremely sturdy and, at the same time, very easy to cut to size and very lightweight. There are fixings a-plenty and the installation does not require any "expert" skills, just a saw, a drill and a screwdriver and a spirit level. You don't even need a 2nd set of hands.
Don't forget to buy the post supports and all the "finishing off" knick knacks like base trim and top caps.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Robmeister Online Purchase Delivered to Store
This product is sold unassembled as a kit. The package size is 3" x 7" x 68" with thin cardboard protection at the ends and shrink wrapped in plastic. The kit does not include any parts for attaching the rails to your posts. If you order other railings along with this, they will come as separate shipments.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Banter 64 is not 72
needed two 35 1/2" sections. Had to buy two of these kits because advertised as a 6' section the rail was only 64" long. Added two weeks to the project.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by jamesemich Cheap looking, vague instructions, won't work with certain angles
1st of all, it doesn't work with a stair that's other than a 28-32 degree angle.
2nd, it's not clear what other accessories you will need. You will at least need the hinge mechanisms to attach to the post.
3rd - the instructions are mostly useless. There is no information on allowances that you will need to account for on the hinge mechanism in order to determine that actual length to cut on the handrail. In summary, it's easier to install a standard wood railing system
4th - the balisters and bottom rail and the hinges are cheap and flimsy. The fit of the balisters into the bottom rail is sloppy, with gaps. You will probably need to caulk it to prevent moisture from getting inside the bottom rail.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by cmill less maintenance than wood, but not as sturdy
I was not to impressed with these. Not very sturdy, and don't fit the angle of the premade risers that I bought at the Depot for steps. I would not want to lean against them just because they feel like they would break. you will have to work around some issues when installing these, but they look ok after installed.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by MumD The product itself is very good, but there was lack of clarity on its inclusion.
This is a good, well designed and executed product, but it was unclear to us that none of the necessary posts and trims were included in the kit. Thus, we must either send another online order or go back to the store for more materials. Will they be available? How much more will we have to pay?
