Are nail guns ok to use?

Are nail guns ok to use?
Asked by: Frank
Only if you can finely and precisely adjust the power... too much force and it just tears through leaving a hole. I had to experiment a lot to get it right and even once I dialed it in, when the compressor kicked on it was too powerful. The time I spent filling the holes far outweighed any time I could have spent nailing by hand. I have consumer grade nailer and pancake compressor, so maybe someone with professional grade tools would have a different opinion.
