These screws are a perfect match to the Brown Composite Deck I bought. They grab the wood nicely and do the job. The only complaints that I have are they only give you one star bit in the 5lb. box, which you are mostly like to strip out if you don't apply steady pressure and go slower then you might normally. That being said, once you figure the pressure and speed to screw in the board, the screws are great. I agree with other reviewers, you should pre-drill through the deck board to make life easier. It's not necessary to drill into the joists just the deck board.

Color matches the woodland brown exactly and head of screw countersinks nice and smooth. The problem is you have to pre-drill every hole and stainless is a soft metal that will strip out. I have been a contractor for 20 years and have never had so many problems with screw threads and heads stripping and even had to scrap some expensive decking because the screws needed to be drilled out. I would not recomend this screw and will not use again.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by tbone veranda decking screws brown
These screws are stainless so no rust. The lenght is 2.5 inches great to grab joists. The color brown matches the brazilian walnut perfectly. The screw head countersinks real smoothly I believe they are well worth the price.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by GGGG Good choice.
Color matched the Veranda Brazilian Walnut decking. Work well, but pre-drilling recommended. The screws pull down boards and hold tight. Use a variable-speed drill to avoid stripping the head. Bit comes in each container of screws. They come in small round plastic contaners and were not easy to find, but if you go to the right store with the right personnel, you can find them. Some of the brown color on the screws chipped a little, but overall a good choice that I would choose again.
