Answer:
Thank you for your question. The balusters screw to the rails, so a line of screws would be visible across the top of the rail if a cap rail was not used to cover them.

Can these be installed as a deck stair rail?

This question is from ArmorGuard 6 ft. Coastal Cedar Capped Composite Rail Kit (3-Pack)

It appears as though this rail kit is not designed for a stair installation based on how the baluster adaptors attach to the bottom and top rails. It does not seem that the balusters could be installed on an angle to the top and bottom rails. Is this a correct assumption or is there an alternative method for stair installation?

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Yes, the rails are interchangeable as either line rails or stair rails, depending on which railing hardware you use. The square balusters would require angle cutting before attaching to the rails, and the round metal balusters require an angle adapter (SKU #205543992).

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by What shows in the picture is not what comes in the package. I am certain if you know what you are getting and want what is in the package, it is likely a good product. I wanted 3 top rails as is pictured on the website. this is a three pieces package of three different pieces of wood to make up a railing kit. The picture on line is still incorrect. There is only one top rail in the kit, so I ordered three packages for nine top rails and only received three top rails. Had to cancel and return the items. September 6, 2016
