Really enjoyed using these fasteners - they made the deck look great, were easy to use and actaully helped in aligning the boards. Expected the automatic spacing (which is great) but was pleasantly surprised that when you tighten down the fastener it will push the board just a bit which really helped sometimes when it was just a bit out of alignement. Had plenty of butt fasteners left over (using mostly 16ft Veranda composite boards) however there are no problems using these in place of the regular fasteners so no big deal. Agree with the other posts that a smaller qty. $25-$30 box would be helpful.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by guydudeman Take your time putting these in
Used these for the 20ft ArmorGuard Decking. Didn't use the start/stop one so I face screwed the first board closest to the house then used these for the rest of the boards.
1) Any boards that are screwed down only do one length of screws in then put the hidden clips in then do the next board. After go back and do your second row. Had a tough time on boards after face screwed
2) On the end of the boards were bowed up a bit making it very hard to use these clips on the end. End up just face screwing on the end and using these on the regular joists after all the boards were put in using the clips.
3) If you are using large length boards make sure all these go in straight so take your time it will make putting the boards in easier.
Spacing seems a little tight for me. Would have preferred something a little bigger.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Oldenough Good quality, butt...
The number of fasteners is now up to the indicated 100 (with at least 100 screws and a small square driver bit) but the number of butt fasteners is only 6 (versus the 10 indicated on the box). I used several boxes and all had only 6 butt fasteners. Good quality, easy to install otherwise.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MJM123 Almost worth every penny....
The final product when using the hidden fasteners is amazing!!! The price is outrageous, so think twice about using the hidden fasteners if you have a huge deck. Mine is 10'x12' and I spent $150 on 3 boxes of fasteners. Despite the price, I could not be happier with the final result. As long as you have a limited amount of DIY know-how, these are easy to use. Carry a flat head screwdriver while installing so you can tap down any of the teeth that are too high or bend up if too low to hit the slot. A rubber mallet or 2x4 for tapping them in tight also makes life easier.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Skylark56 Looks Great, slow install
I put down an entirly new deck with these fasteners. It was slow going, no matter what I did. The finished product looks great, but when I was done I had to ask myself, what happens if I have to repair a board in the middle? The only answer incan come up with is to take out al. Of the boards that come before it. That would be a lot of work. I hope it lasts for 30 years or more.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Roadster ArmorGuard Hidden Fasteners Kit
The screws provided in this kit are far below the poor quality of products from China. If your bit isn't perfectly lined up the head will strip. Then try to remove them.
The clips are good and provide a constant spacing.
I bought 11 of these kits for my deck and when I opened the boxes, 6 were incomplete and I had to stop the project and return them. ( 1 hr drive)
Unfortunately there is no alternative system to provide hidden fasteners!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by FastnersInTheDUMPSTER Good product with poor product selection
The fasteners work fine BUT they ONLY come in packs of 80 line fastners with 10 butt joint fasteners for $50. I only need 12 fasteners to finish the project. After buying 8 boxes, the pain of throwing money in the can has me ticked!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nopro Fasteners are great. Packaging approach is awful.
The fasteners work great BUT they ONLY come in packs of 80 with end fasteners for $50. I need 20 and I don't need end fasteners. I'm ticked!
