First, before I installed this gate hardware I read the reviews, read the instructions, and watched the video. I would recommend that to everyone. There are some good tips and valuable observations.
Second, this install is about good planning and thinking along the way. This is not a quick get the job done. But by not having to have two other fence posts this is a much cleaner look, I saved more than half the cost of gate hardware kit by not buying two more posts.
Things to know, my gate is 46 inches wide. I would not use this hardware much beyond that. The problem is that the hinges work easy but the tradeoff is there is some slop in them so the longer the span of the gate the more the gate will want to drop down on the far side (opposite hinges). For me the drop was about a half inch. The max adjustment is about an inch using both hinge adjustment. Beyond that the gate install would look off too much.
Hope this helps.

My husband installed a set of these hinges on our new vinyl picket fence. We have the fence separating my vegetable garden from the rest of our yard. He used this hinge kit to make a gate using a full section of the picket fence which springs closed by itself. It works great, makes my garden look cute and he said he had an easy time putting it together.

This is great for small area gates that open in- looks nice - unfortunately, my gate had to open out - therefore my hinges had to be put on backsward- tried everything. While it is easy, I could not see putting this product on very large gates.

I used the kit to install an 8' piece of vinyl fence as a driveway gate. The hinges are very sturdy but i also added two support wheels. The kit included end caps for the vinyl fence and screws and glue. Job was very easy to complete and happy with result.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Brentbo Fundementally Flawed Approach
I tried this approach against my better judgment. Using special hinges to make a 68" fence panel into a gate seemed likely to present problems. The Veranda 68" fence panels are fairly flimsy to begin with, and I anticipated sag. The panel does sag, but also the hinges themselves sag. The hinges do have a 3/4" adjustment, so you can adjust the lower hinge outward to adjust for the sag, but this leaves an uneven opening between the post and the gate.
If you're still interested in this solution, consider these points: (1) the problems inherent in this approach are mitigated by cutting the panel down to 42 to 48 inches; (2) purchase a second latch to supplement the one supplied, and install them carefully so that the gate panel is supported by them when shut; (3) run a cable, tightened with a turnbuckle, from near the top of the gate post to the lower far corner of the gate panel to achieve a level gate; (4) the hinges are glued to the fence panel -- careful, this is very runny glue -- and you may want to supplement the glue with plastic rawlplugs.
Or maybe just use a real gate.

Installed this kit on a small picket fence that is very light. I tried to adjust the hinge per the instructions & the gate still sags. Don’t waste your money!

This product has a lot of slack in it and the gate sags a lot. The adjustment is not enough to keep the gate from sagging. Does not work well at all. Is complete junk.

I had my doubts about holding up a panel. After install, they work & look great- I used them on a picket style panel.
