Answer:
I installed these panels by using construction adhesive. If you were to nail it, any painters caulk or wood putty would work for covering the holes.

Answer:
White Phenoseal would be a much safer product to use. Many adhesives will bleed through a product like this, leaving dark lines where the caulking is. Phenoseal does not seem to bleed through, and provides great adhesion as well. There really is no need for nailing either, however you could use a pneumatic brad nailer and only nail where it will be covered by molding, or another piece of wainscoting. Read More

Answer:
The pkg I got was 3 ' lengths because that is a "normal" wall height for wainscoting .You can buy sheets of a similar product in 4 x 8 sheets. The vinyl should be used white as it does nor hold paint well.

Answer:
When I installed mine I used wood base boards.I believe Home Depot carries a variety of pre painted materials and you should choose what ever looks best to your eye.

Veranda 3 ft. x 7-1/4 in. x 1/4 in. Vinyl Reversible Panel Wainscot Moulding (6-Pieces) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Over all liked the product. Liked the product as far as installation, looks great up. The color is not the same color white as the vinyl molding strips. Two different whites???The worst thing about this product is its a dust, dirt, and hair magnet. Its like its full of electricity and attracts everything to it. Constantly wiping it down. Anyone know what I could use on it so its not so magnetic, and won't hurt it?????Please help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clean an simple Used in the bathroom and for a 1st time 'do it myselfer' it came out looking great. Used a miter saw for making the cuts, a skill saw would work just as well, and found the instructions easy to follow. We have a clawfoot tub so probably went overboard by installing hardiboard on the lower half of the bathroom walls using screws to secure it to the drywall then contact cement to secure the vinly panels to the hardiboard. Within a relatively short period of time found he vinyl was not that easy to keep clean so we decided to paint the panels first using a primer/sealer then followed up with a top coat of our desired color. Very pleased with the outcome!! Word of caution, 2 different patterns depending which side you use, make sure you don't mix them up like I almost did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy install beadboard I am an amateur at decorating and installation of anything but have found these vinyl wainscoting panels to be very easy to install. Looks great and protects the walls. I have used it in my foyer, bathroom and hallway. There are two sides (2 designs), so you have a choice. You can use the moulding (that is extra) and matches or buy something else. You will need a saw of some sort to cut the panels to fit when you get to the end of a wall or encounter the plug-ins and a mitre set-up to do the moulding. (But anyone putting up wainscoting would know that :-)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not too happy I would recommend this product ONLY if you do not want to paint it.I painted mine and created a monster.I did my entire office and spent a good bit of money having to purchase 9 packages. I wiped it down with the correct product, primed it and used Behr quality paint on it.I also did not like the look of the trim that went with it so I had trim custom made and it looked great.Problem arose when I saw a spot on it.I used a clean damp cloth on it and the paint peeled like a bad sunburn.I have several areas in the room where it is peeled and I have tried to touch up and it looks pretty tacky. I glued it, nailed the edges and put lots of corner and chair rail trim up so I have to keep it now.It was easy to use and if you are going to use it as is you will be happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plastpro White Vinyl Trim Kits and Veranda Wainscoting While remodeling my bathroom, I had seen pictures of bathrooms with wainscoting and loved the look. Neighbors had installed what I called glued-dust MDF wainscoting. It molded, rioted, mildewed and looked ugly after a few months in their bathrooms or kitchens...if you hit it, the white paint would chip off. That MDF product is cheap-glued look like wood land fill product. I had no intentions of wasting my money for a worthless product or labor in my home. While looking on Home Depot Blue Springs MO website; I found Plastpro White Vinyl Trim Kits. Jackpot! Will not mold, mildew or riot. I purchased not only the wainscoting but the baseboard and chair rail. My handyman loves this product too. It is so easy to cut and install. I loved this product so much, that I had my handyman install it in my bedroom and tv room. I forgot to mention that my termite inspector seen this on my walls and replied, it's "Termite Proof too!". All Home Depot Store may not carry this product on their shelves but you can order it online. This product is well worth the money, easy to clean. Did I mention it is like a sound proofing! What I don't understand is why Home Depot has this product on the bottom shelf and no display??? Promotion: inform your employees and customers about this product...yes, I have had employees say that they never heard, seen or realized they had a great product to offer their customers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, very pleased On recent bathroom renovation wanted the bead board/wainscoting look but was nervous about using any of the MDF products. Found the Veranda Vinyl panels and trim kits at HD and after reading previous reviews decided to give it a try. I have to say this product is excellent, installs really easy and looks great. Brought an added richness to bathroom....I would use this product again and highly recommend.
