Caps are too snug to fit over post sleeve, how do I get them on?

Answer:
We replaced old or broken ones with new ones that were too tight. It was probably from the swelling of the wood inside the sleeve. Used a knife to trim a little of the vinyl inside.

Thank you for your question. The cap should fit easily over the post sleeve if you are using the composite post sleeve (model #POST SLV 48 WH VER) but may be snug on another post sleeve it is not designed to fit.

I have not seen any other color but white.

Thank you for your question. The caps be painted, but we would not recommend a latex paint. A paint designed for use with PVC would provide better adhesion.

Looks good. But not a real snug fit for my Veranda post. They simply slide on and off. A strong wind or lightly brushing against them make them fall off. I'm looking to return them.

We were looking for a vinyl post sleeve cap and this fit the bill perfectly. They've been out in the elements (hot sun, torrential downpours, etc.) and have held up beautifully. We're pleased with our purchase.
