We have a Ryobi BS-900 band saw. Will a 59 1/2" blade work when a 59 1/4 blade length is called for by the manufacturer?

There should be far more than 1/4 inch difference adjustment, unless your Royobi has no manual tension tightening adjustment knob. [N0T .. the tracking adjustment knob]
1/4 " adjustment would only be 1/8" difference on the up side of the top wheel and 1/8 " on the down side of the top wheel.
1/8 inch = 0.125 inch
Look @ an 1/8" drill bit to gauge that measurement.
