Customer Questions & Answers

How do you sterilize these bags?

Asked by: Sue
You don't. When you're done, you throw it away and get a new one. No need to sterilize before use.

Someone said that you can plant watermelons in these. Do you put several of them together or what? I want to plant some, but am having problems figuring out to do this with bags or other containers. I'd appreciate any input! Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT! I got these instead of raised beds. They are AWESOME. I use them for carrots (filling it to the top), lettuce(filling them 6 inches and folding sides down), watermelon, cucumbers, strawberries. To give an example of the actual surface size, lettuce needs about 6 inches between each other, and I planted 4 heads of lettuce in one bag. They seem to be made out of really thick plastic. I expect to get more than one use out of them if I don't move them a lot. Living in Phoenix, Az, I might get a smaller life expectancy because of the heat, but I think they're worth it for the amount of them you get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Good Low Cost Solution to Potted Plants I have shopped large nursery pots all over the web and have spent hundreds of dollars that I wish I had back now. I tried these grow bags for the first time ever this year and finally found the perfect low cost solution I needed for growing out my larger plants in my greenhouses. You could probably not buy a decent 10 gallon plastic pot for the price you pay for the 25 pack of the grow bags. And these babies will hold a good size plant or shrub. And the plants seem to love them. I've transplanted dozens of plants into the bags and the plants are bigger and stronger than many of the plants I've left in traditional plastic pots. The only con I could find is that you should not try and move the plant once it is established in the bag, because picking up the bag will shift the soil and pull it off from around the roots. So if you don't need to move around your stock you will love these grow bags if not for anything more than the money you'll save not having to buy large plastic pots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great alternative to expensive pots These will be great for my full grown tomato plants and peppers. I have use 5 gallon Home Depot buckets in the past and the tomatoes get root-bound. Hopefully these will give my plants just enough space to really flourish!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a good product and a good value. The grow bags were easy to fill and so far the plants are doing well. The bags seem to be holding moisture since the drainage holes are on plastic sheeting.
