product details

The Victor Mini PestChaser Night Light (3-Pack) repels rodents and vermin through loud and distressing high-frequency ultrasound. Inaudible to humans and non-rodent household pets, the ultrasonic sound is broadcast in intermittent volume levels up to 100 dBA and varying frequencies (32 kHz to 62 kHz) to disorient and perturb pests. Each Mini PestChaser is fashioned with a two-prong plug that inserts into standard household electrical outlets and is equipped with a nightlight that shines downward, indicating that the unit is functional. Ideal for kitchens, dining rooms, living rooms and bedrooms, one unit is recommended for each average-sized room to discourage mice, rats and other rodents from scurrying through your home. The devices are designed to operate for 3-5 years and cannot penetrate furniture, cabinets or walls so it may be necessary to place more than one unit in a room to achieve desired effects. It's kinder than traps, safer than poisons and there are no dead rodents to dispose of so it minimizes human contact with mice, rats, and other disease-bearing rodents. It normally takes 6-10 days for rodent activity to subside after activating the PestChasers.

  • For use in average-sized rooms, kitchens, garages, attics and basements
  • Broadcasts loud and distressing high-frequency sound waves that effectively repel rodents
  • Ultrasonic sound is inaudible to humans and non-rodent household pets
  • Varying volume (up to 100 dBA) and fluctuating frequency (32 kHz to 62 kHz) prevents rodents from getting accustomed to PestChasers
  • Nightlight emits a soft glow and indicates the unit is functional
  • Ultrasound does not travel through walls, cabinets, furniture or other objects
  • Ideal placement is near the entrance to a room
  • Multiple units required for multiple rooms
  • Reduction in rodent activity should occur within 6-10 days
  • Humane pest control does not result in any dead rodents to discard
  • Designed to last 3-5 years

Answer:
It's difficult to say. The day I saw mice after our house was rehabbed I went out and bought several pestchasers. Over three years later, I have not seen any mice.

Answer:
We estimate that rodent activity will be reduced in 6 to 10 days. If the mice have nested, it may take a little longer.

Answer:
No. Depending on the size of the bedroom and size of the problem you may need more than one. I have two in my master bedroom and 1 in a smaller guest room. Installed them over three years ago; I haven't seen a mouse since.

Answer:
I'd actually recommend getting a couple packages, if you don't get enuf and there are pieces of furniture or possibly an alcove or corner there is potential for areas to be free of the sound waves. For my bedroom I used the whole 3 pack.

Answer:
This unit will cover up to 400 square feet, however the sound waves are not able to pass through walls. To cover two rooms, we recommend at least two units.

The PestChasers® can last for up to 3 to 5 years. If the light is still illuminated, the unit will still be emitting the sound.

Customer Reviews

Rated 2.4 out of 5 by 36 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wow!!! We tried the product based off of the reviews and boy did we have a crazy night. Immediately once we plugged the product up the mice went from room to room trying to get away from the noise. Once they realized that there was no escaping they just started going crazy!!! I suggest to have plenty glue traps set before you plug the product in and if you do get them make sure it's for a small area. If Your house is spacious then you should get already 2 packs. The more coverage the better. October 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Great! We had a rat or squirrel in our attic that was making scratching noises, we already had another brand's plug-ins for rodents in place but they must have stopped working. We bought these Mini Pestchaser ones and within two days the critter was gone! The nightlight is a bonus. October 14, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by It's a no go! Darn. It's a no for me. I was so optimistic. I wish I would have looked for a money back guarantee before I purchased. Two mice just ran right by this thing in my hallway. Excellent night light though so I gave 2 stars. Sigh. September 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great We bought a cabin on wooded acreage. The first night mice got into the dogs food and carried it under the sink. There was evidence of mice in the bathroom. Having small dogs, poison was not an option. We bought one package of three to try. We plugged one in the kitchen, one in the living room and one in the bathroom. No sign of mice. Now we are going to put one in each bedroom, garage and basement. The nightlight is a nice bonus! July 31, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by No Effect Whatsoever These had no effect on the flying squirrels that were besieging my house. They freely came right into the room where I had these things deployed. Maybe they work on some other kinds of animals, but definitely not flying squirrels. August 24, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Please do not waste your money!! We bought two packs almost two months ago at $19 a package; a total of $38 before taxes. I have never been so disappointed. My fiance swears by traps but I was looking for a way to keep mice and rats away for good in a more humane manner. After finding our cabinets ravaged again and again by mice and/or rats, we put in the traps within a few feet of the pestchaser. We have caught SIX mice and rats within the last week and a half. I'm so disgusted with this product and the money we threw away on it. Please do not waste your money on this product. I wish I had seen these reviews before I purchased this product; lesson learned! Home Depot should pull it from the shelves. I would post a pic of the rat we caught with the traps this morning if I could stand it, but this poor thing was still alive and almost bit my fiance! :-( June 15, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Over Priced Night Light Dose nothing to deter the rats. It dose, however, provide the room with a wonderful ambient glow for them to see by while they dine in your kitchen. June 13, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Beyond Disappointed I noted after some repairs around my home a coupe of mice, so I asked my Husband to take care of it.The very next day he came home with these, I thought cute, discrete and hopefully will do the job.... I WAS WRONG. It seems that they are now dancing in front of the lights! The do not repel anything ! All I an say after 3 weeks of waiting for these things to work is don't buy them, you really what you pay for/ May 22, 2016
