Answer:
It is possible to set this unit back in the wall, however it is meant to be installed on the wall not in it. This will also make it difficult if down the road you ever need to replace a part in the back of the unit.

if the wall you intend to place your shower tower is a 4" stud wall, there is no reason why you couldnt recess the tower back into the wall. you would need to use backer board and tile it as a recess in which the tower could set back into. you would also have to allow for the hot and cold pipes to be recessed also. Answer:
Absolutely. This is an all inclusive deal, all your plumber will have to do is put in the right valves for your water supply. It actually has an anti scald manifold. You can set the desired temperature by looking at the adjuster knob (80, 90, 100, 108....etc. It has a safety feature built in to the temp handle if you want to go hotter than 100 deg F.

70.5 inches is very tall!! I'm 6'1" and right now I have a tower 59" high. A 70.5" will go from my ceiling down to only 5" from the floor.

The hose for the hand held will be on the floor. Is there a mistake? Is it really 60.5" high?

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Shower Ever Awesome part of my bathroom remodel. Simple to install. Most relaxing shower ever. Only negative is that I take longer showers now and am always a few minutes late for work. All controls feel very solid. Great Quality, Buy this. You won't regret it. April 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great product The connections to water should be in the middle of the unit. It is too hard to maneuver onto bracket and over pipes at the same time.. December 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by a great product for your shower upgrade I was concerned about the pressure of the water I have...I live at 4700ft and draw water from a well...after checking the gpm i was at 2 gpm which is close to the required minimum required...the tower was easy to install and the pressure was great...this is an awsome product and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs to upgrade...the instructions say the temp scald setting is under the knob, there is a screw under the knob but this is not the temp adjustment...push in the button on the knob and you can adjust the temp setting past the fixed scald setting...a little confusing...nevertheless a great product... Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing!!! I am so glad we made this purchase for our master bath remodel. It was installed by our plumber, and he didn't have any issues. Excellent water pressure when using the shower head and jets at the same time. It does allow you to use the shower head only, and the different knobs let you adjust what you want on. The removable wand is nice because it makes cleaning the shower easy. It can be turned on and used by itself. January 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice - lots of water Easy to install, recommend shut-off valves at the wall. The overhead is so massive, I actually tend to turn it down just a notch from full spray. The body jets are a delight, get all the little nooks and crannies clean! December 9, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by So glad I splurged! I cannot speak to the ease of installation, as my contractors installed it, but considering how the overall job went, I would say it must have been a fairly simple install. While this is a middle-of-the-road price for these units, I consider it a splurge compared to your basic showerhead. I am so glad I splurged! Everyone in the family has now used this shower and we all love it. The waterfall showerhead is wonderful; all of the jets are great. There is a significant decrease in water pressure once you start turning on jets, but all jets work at once-- so I'm not complaining! This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you, Home Depot! (Shipping was FAST, too) May 5, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Phenomenal Shower Panel I redid the entire master bath. I looked high and low and everywhere one could think to look and for the longest time I couldn't settle on a product. I looked at rainfall shower head/ overhead showers and they were too expensive and would require that my plumbing be rerouted. That wasn't happening. I settled for this shower panel and I am soooo glad that I did. The contractor said it was super easy to install. It has a very high end look and it worked fantastic. My showers have become much longer and more relaxed. This was a great move on my part and if you are looking for an easy upgrade to your shower I highly recommend a shower panel; especially this one!
