The door wasn't knocked against anything. It was simply lifted straight up.

Answer:
We apologize for the issue with the roller on your shower enclosure. FIrst, you want to make sure that the roller is tightly secured on the door and straight on the structural rail. If the roller is straight, you may have a defective roller, in which you can contact Vigo Tech Support at 866-591-7792, opt 2. They can issue a parts order for a new roller under warranty.

Answer:
In order to remove the cap from the rollers, you would need to do the following;
Take a couple of fingers and place them inside the gap of the smaller end of the roller. This will help to keep the inside stationary in order to remove the cap.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 100 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Professional look, good craftmanship I like the design. It worth with money I spent, look magnificient. August 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice door / caution DIYers Great looking, quality door. The rolling mechanism is really cool to look at when moving the door. I DIY'd this install. It requires full review and understanding of all instructions before installation. They are not the clearest instructions. I found a Vigo shower doord Install youtube video with a spanish guy who also doesn't explain the entire install but fills in the blanks from the paper instructions. If you reviewed the instructions and still think you will do the install alone, you can't. You need a second person to support the door while you make careful leveling measurements. Also, Vigo packed the wrong size screws. I called the company and they quickly overnighted the correct screws. I get a lot of compliments on this door. Be careful, it's glass and it's heavy! Good luck DIYers! November 23, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Shower door install Install was relatively easy and straightforward They recommend professional installation but I would consider myself a advanced DIYer and had no trouble. It is definitely two-person operation with both being able to lift a substantial amount of weight. May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by beautiful doors, great design We renovated a small bathroom and needed glass doors so it wouldn't feel so cramped. We were worried about the cost of these because they're expensive, however they were worth the price. The doors are thick and very heavy. I installed them myself with the help of my brother in-law and we struggled at times. If you can have someone install them for you it's definitely the way to go. This is not a project for someone without experience. That said, the doors are gorgeous and work wonderfully. Have no complaints about them at all. August 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice shower doors! Ordered door and received at store earlier than promised. Was very heavy, but father-in-law and I unloaded in garage, unpacked it there, then carried it in the house piece by piece. Had tile guy install as I didn't want to attempt that! It was a challenge for him as it was the first time installing this kind of shower door and it took him about 4 hours. Turned out beautiful. It is in our guest bath and now I want to use it all the time. Good buy, hoping it lasts a long time. May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The heavy glass and rollers make for a beautiful shower. I chose this product because it matches the 'barn-door' treatment in my master bedroom. They are really heavy and require two people to install but once you get them up, they are the best looking shower doors I've seen. September 5, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well Made with Quality Materials - Challenge to Install This Vigo Elan shower door is expensive but worth it - very solid with thick glass and stainless steel traverse bar and handles. Looks fantastic on my new shower and a pleasure to slide open and closed - like the doors on a luxury car. My installer claimed it was a challenging install and definitely a two person job; the thicker glass elements are far too heavy for one person to handle safely. Overall I am very pleased, and believe this was worth the cost premium. August 9, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product - exceptionally smooth operation.... Great product. Arrived at my local Home Depot on time as promised. The end result is a fantastic, substantial product that feels good and lends a "high end" touch to one of our full baths. However, the installation is NOT for the faint of heart. Plan on two people to install over at least 1/2 to 3/4 of a day. The instructions are not "step-by-step" and in some cases, very unclear. I would recommend reading the instructions twice at least, if not more. Some of the steps you should consider at the start are listed on some of the final pages associated with the installation. Don't bet me wrong, I am glad I bought this sliding shower door, it is luxurious; just a REAL challenge to install. Glad I did not screw anything up! :-) September 29, 2014
