The shower door opening in our house was extra wide, so instead of building a stub wall, we opted for this wider than standard door set. The quality is excellent, the shortcomings are in the weight and the installation. You need at least 2 people to lift and handle each piece of glass in this door set. The 3/8" glass is very heavy.
For the installation, the instructions say to trace around the top rail and guess where the center is to install the wall anchor for the rail. The problem is there is NO VERTICAL ADJUSTMENT available in the threaded brass part that attaches to the wall. And the screw is countersunk (why??). So if you guessed wrong, you are screwed.
A better solution would be to slot the brass wall anchor and use a flat headed screw so that after you guess wrong, it is possible to correct it without having to take the whole shower door apart. Did I mention the glass is very heavy??
There are stops to prevent the glass door from hitting the shower wall, but if the top rail is bent due to misalignment, there is nothing to stop it rolling open. I plan to use a Dremmel to grind a detent into the top of the rail so the wheel can hold the door in the closed position. and another at the other end to hold it open
The wheels look nice and spin nicely at the moment. On one pair of wheels though, there is a gap where the lower wheel cannot be adjusted high enough to secure it so the top wheel cannot jump off the rail. That lower wheel doesn't turn when the door is slid sideways. Something drilled wrong, installed wrong?? hard to tell A 125 lb piece of glass is going to be hard to send back. and there are 2 of them.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by dcmikez beautiful doors, great design
We renovated a small bathroom and needed glass doors so it wouldn't feel so cramped. We were worried about the cost of these because they're expensive, however they were worth the price. The doors are thick and very heavy. I installed them myself with the help of my brother in-law and we struggled at times. If you can have someone install them for you it's definitely the way to go. This is not a project for someone without experience.
That said, the doors are gorgeous and work wonderfully. Have no complaints about them at all.

Great looking, quality door. The rolling mechanism is really cool to look at when moving the door. I DIY'd this install. It requires full review and understanding of all instructions before installation. They are not the clearest instructions. I found a Vigo shower doord Install youtube video with a spanish guy who also doesn't explain the entire install but fills in the blanks from the paper instructions. If you reviewed the instructions and still think you will do the install alone, you can't. You need a second person to support the door while you make careful leveling measurements. Also, Vigo packed the wrong size screws. I called the company and they quickly overnighted the correct screws. I get a lot of compliments on this door. Be careful, it's glass and it's heavy! Good luck DIYers!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Johnny2stroke Heavy glass sliding door is awesome
The door arrived to the store and I was reluctant to accept it because, the packaging was completely torn up. I got it home and it was fine. The chrome and glass are beautifully done. The action of the door is smooth and quite. Requires 2 people to carry and install. Do not drill your threshold use marine epoxy to attach bottom glide.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Glenn The heavy glass and rollers make for a beautiful shower.
I chose this product because it matches the 'barn-door' treatment in my master bedroom. They are really heavy and require two people to install but once you get them up, they are the best looking shower doors I've seen.

This Vigo product is very well thought out and engineered. The top bar is very solid with no flex and the stops and wheels are very solid as well. Nice touches with the eccentric wheel hubs to allow adjustment of door height or angle to meet walls that may be out of square up to 1/2". Installation is a bit tricky due to the weight of the glass, but with a helper it is manageable. Read the directions twice through before installing and you will be fine. I would have rated the door with 5 stars if not for the unpublished green tint to the glass which upset the wife's color scheme.
Pros: Solid, well engineered, very smooth in operation.
Cons: Glass has a greenish tint to it, and I wish the that the inside handle was the same as outside and not just a knub. Also wish the threshold strip had a fixed attachment point like the glass panel bottom clip for the door end.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 116t Easy to adjust and install
I purchased the stainless version and the threads on the door stops were stripped out luckily I work in a welding shop and was able to tack the bolt holder in place. This is why I cant give it 5 stars but then having threaded stainless before myself I know how hard it can be especially fine threads like they used, be sure to use anti-seize on all the threads.
The packing list calls out 2" screws for mounting the horizontal bar but the screws were only 1 3/8" long which in my application I would have had about 3/8" of screw going into the framing. I was able to pick up a 2 pack of 2 1/2" #14 SS screws from homedepot which worked perfect. I know they cant account for every installation situation so I didn't remove any stars for this.
Compared to other bypass style doors this one moves very smoothly since the door is hanging on wheels as apposed to supported from the bottom and sliding. Overall I'm very happy.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Installer Entry too small
We just tried to install this door in a 48 in opening. It does not say anywhere how big is the entry opening when you actually slide the door open. We were stunned to find out that the actual opening is only 18 inches! You have to enter the shower sideways! The only dimension you find in the documentation is the sliding door size (~25") but that is misleading because the door does not slide all the way behind the fixed panel, but it stands out into the opening ~ 6 " due to the handle and the roller stop on the top rail. The door is really not suitable for a 48" shower. You need a swing door in order to comfortably walk in and out of the shower. I don't recommend this door for 48" shower size.
