This is a very heavy, well made system. Definitely a two man lift. Plenty of adjustment possibilities made final fitment a breeze. We skipped the edge gaskets and threshold for a cleaner look. End result is gorgeous and feels solid and high end. Unit was shipped to my local HD and arrived in great condition.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by RichBinAZ Vigo shower door Installation
The shower door opening in our house was extra wide, so instead of building a stub wall, we opted for this wider than standard door set. The quality is excellent, the shortcomings are in the weight and the installation. You need at least 2 people to lift and handle each piece of glass in this door set. The 3/8" glass is very heavy.
For the installation, the instructions say to trace around the top rail and guess where the center is to install the wall anchor for the rail. The problem is there is NO VERTICAL ADJUSTMENT available in the threaded brass part that attaches to the wall. And the screw is countersunk (why??). So if you guessed wrong, you are screwed.
A better solution would be to slot the brass wall anchor and use a flat headed screw so that after you guess wrong, it is possible to correct it without having to take the whole shower door apart. Did I mention the glass is very heavy??
There are stops to prevent the glass door from hitting the shower wall, but if the top rail is bent due to misalignment, there is nothing to stop it rolling open. I plan to use a Dremmel to grind a detent into the top of the rail so the wheel can hold the door in the closed position. and another at the other end to hold it open
The wheels look nice and spin nicely at the moment. On one pair of wheels though, there is a gap where the lower wheel cannot be adjusted high enough to secure it so the top wheel cannot jump off the rail. That lower wheel doesn't turn when the door is slid sideways. Something drilled wrong, installed wrong?? hard to tell A 125 lb piece of glass is going to be hard to send back. and there are 2 of them.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Justine Nice shower doors!
Ordered door and received at store earlier than promised. Was very heavy, but father-in-law and I unloaded in garage, unpacked it there, then carried it in the house piece by piece. Had tile guy install as I didn't want to attempt that! It was a challenge for him as it was the first time installing this kind of shower door and it took him about 4 hours. Turned out beautiful. It is in our guest bath and now I want to use it all the time. Good buy, hoping it lasts a long time.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Steve Very happy with the product, but...
I really like the product. The quality is great, the value is pretty good, and the installation was good to a point. This product is more for tiled walls. I installed a shower stall, and there weren't instructions for that type of install. We were able to figure it out to make it work. I would definitely recommend this product!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HVTechGuy Well Made with Quality Materials - Challenge to Install
This Vigo Elan shower door is expensive but worth it - very solid with thick glass and stainless steel traverse bar and handles. Looks fantastic on my new shower and a pleasure to slide open and closed - like the doors on a luxury car.
My installer claimed it was a challenging install and definitely a two person job; the thicker glass elements are far too heavy for one person to handle safely.
Overall I am very pleased, and believe this was worth the cost premium.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Terry Very pretty door - but handle carefully
Now that the installation is complete, the door looks beautiful. Unfortunately, the guys I hired to install it broke the fixed glass portion initially. Apparently they bumped it against something trying to fit it in the shower - seems it is fairly delicate. Since you can't order just that piece from home depot, I had to go directly to Vigo to get a replacement. The cost for the part and the shipping was $300. Although my installer covered this, it was a bother and delayed the completion of my shower project by another week and half. Also - be aware that Vigo includes vinyl edge seals that are supposed to be placed on the interior door edges, to prevent water from leaking to the exterior through the area where the doors overlap. They didn't look good, so I removed these, and have found no problems with water leaking.

I'm so glad I went"over budget" to get this door. No messy tracks to clean and it make the remodel look very high end.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Chie Vigo Elan 64in x 74 in frameless sliding shower door
Beautiful& really contemporary in design. I gave it a rating of 4 only because there is only one handle for the outside and none for the inside. It is always annoying that there is nothing to hold on to, to open the door & step out of the shower...
