I was told that removing the false drawer fronts would accommodate the sink. The specs say that the cut out is to be 10 in but from the top of the cabinet to the doors is only 7 in. How does that work?

Answer:
For the proper installation of the farmhouse sink, you would need to cut off the top 10" of the cabinet The farmhouse sinks have finished sides and front. The sink would sit on top of the front and sides of the cabinet. For installation instructions, you can contact our Tech Support Dept at 866-591-7792, opt 2.

Hi. I have a 36" cabinet - it's composite like Ikea style. I want to buy the 33" apron sink. Will that be OK. Or do I need a 33" cabinet underneath?

Answer:
It will actually depend on the cabinet make that you are using. Most of them will say that you need a cabinet that is 2 1/2" wider than your cabinet. I would check the cabinet website that you bought and see what the specs say for a farm house sink base.

Answer:
For a 36" cabinet, you would need a 36" Farmhouse sink. The 33" sink would need a 33" cabinet. Thee reason for this is that the sink has a finished front and sides, that would side on the front and side edges of the cabinet.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Kitchen Farmhouse Style Sink We ordered this set online and it was very difficult to imagine what it would look like without seeing it in real life. The sink and all the fixtures arrived nicely packaged and when we took it out to install it for our new kitchen, it was/is beautiful. There was no issues in installing the sink but we have a custom-made cabinet for that purpose. I am not sure how it will be if we had to use it for our previous cabinet. Overall, we are very happy with this product and we have had it for 2 weeks now :). August 10, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by beautiful We are still remodeling my kitchen but so for the sink is beautiful! February 12, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DO NOT PURCHASE VIGO!!! I bought this sink as it looks nice and was the look I wanted for my kitchen. I am not typically the type of guy to write reviews but I want to warn people about VIGO so you dont experience what happened to me. So, the sink arrives, looks great and it heavy duty. I carefully cut my sink base cabinet so this could fit into it. My cuts were perfect according to the measurements from the instructions and after measuring the unit. I slip the sink in and it slides in perfect until the I get to about an inch from the bottom. Thats when it kinked one direction and cracked the wood on my sink base. I pull the sink out, screw, putty, and glue the crack back together and recut my cutout thinking I made it too small. Now, the cut looks like it was done by a blind man as its near impossible to shave 1/16th off with a skillsaw. Slide the sink base back down in the hole, same problem. 1/4 inch space at the top right and bottom left of the sink. Pull the sink back out and take a square to the sink and the SINK IS 3/8TH OUT OF SQUARE!!!!!! SO BASICALLY THE TOP/BOTTOM AND SIDES ARE NOT 90-DEGREES!....I call VIGO and they said there was nothing they can do for me and told me to deal with it or return it.......Unreal. December 14, 2012
