I consider myself a very good DIYer and the installation of this product required great patience and precise installation. The reviews I have read where customer complains about door not shutting correctly or perhaps water leakage by the door can all probably be traced back to poor installation. The installation manual clearly states that manufacturer recommends that this product be installed by a professional. In addition, because of the excessive weight of the product, at least two strong individuals are needed to install the enclosure.
The magnetic seals on the door are two 45 degree magnets that when met create the 90 degree corner. The magnets run the entire length of the door and thus everything must be perfectly plum and square. The critical areas of the install are the walls that the glass enclosure gets attached (they need to be perfectly plum), the shower pan must be perfectly squared into the corner of the walls, when the base shower wall tracks are installed onto the pan the tracks must be perfectly squared to the walls, and when the shower enclosure walls are installed they must be plum. If any of these are not perfectly plum or square the two 45 degree magnets will not meet correctly to form a tight 90 degree corner.
Once installed this is a very classy looking shower enclosure. Prior to purchasing I would strongly recommend that the installation instruction be read to ensure that your walls are plum, square and have the proper wood stud supports in the appropriate areas to support this very heavy glass enclosure. You need vertical wood studs at each of the two corners of the shower enclosure.
The specs for this product lists the weight of this product at 282 pounds. Probably one of the heaviest products I installed. The product is very nicely packaged and gets shipped in three boxes; the base shower pan about 35 pounds, hardware for the shower enclosure about 35 pounds, three glass panels (side glass panel, front glass panel, and door panel) about 215 pounds ( this box felt a lot heavier).

Next time I will buy one with a medal frame. I don't think this is going to hold up to high use. It looks really good but once it was installed I don't like the way it closes on the corner.

Bought and installed a Vigo 32x48 frameless unit with pivot door. Tolerances are TOO exacting in order for the magnetic seals to function. If the two magnetic seals do not line up perfectly, the door won't shut at all. There is literally NO room for adjustment unless you remove the end wall vinyl seal that is supposed to cap the fixed glass panel where it meets the shower wall. If you elect not to install this vinyl seal, you have to rely totally on silicone. Also, there is little adjustment at the hinges unless you CUT or KNOTCH the protective vinyl water seal that covers the gap between the door and the fixed glass panel supporting it. If you cut/knotch this vinyl strip, the door will leak at the hinges. Instructions say NOT to aim any water at the door EVER!!! How functional is this!!! Oh...didn't mention that the door itself is bowed at least 1/8 inch out of straight across its length.

Paying a premium price for something I had to modify to fit. The water seal needs to be trimmed to fit. The support arms needed reaming to make them fit. For the price I shouldn't have to take me Dremel to it. It's not that I'm unable to do those things, its that I shouldn't have to.

We bought this for our downstairs small bathroom because my husband wanted a frameless shower enclosure. My husband is very handy and installed this himself. It took him a full long day to install this and the
front door and side glass piece didn't align perfectly at the top. Where they met in the right corner top area, one
side was up about 1/3 inch higher then the front glass
door. My husband played around with it for a few hours
and was able to get it to about 1/4 inch off. The walls are
level, so we asked a question online about this problem.
They told us that there is an adjustment in the hinges and
that the hinges have to be tight. They gave us Vigo's number to contact them, but my husband is too manly to ask for help. We are very happy with the door, heavy thick glass and it looks nice. The base in a bit thin and cheap and you can actually feel movement when you are
in the shower which we did not have in the past with our
old shower base. After my husband used the shower for the first time where the track and door meet and water was leaking out onto the floor. Our shower head was installed rather high, and the water hits the back wall so that could be part of the problem. Also, that is where the glass door was a bit higher then the front, so I'm not sure if there was a small gap there because of this. My husband used some clear silicone and that seems to
stop the leaking. If it weren't for the thin cheap base, i would have given this a 5 star rating. My advice is get
a professional installer for this shower enclosure.
