It's a very attractive shower, but there are several issues that make it not worth the money. The most glaring is the nature of the metal arms that attach to the glass from the wall -- the screws do not go through any holes in the glass, therefore there isn't much support and the weight of the door pulls against what should be fixed but instead moves. This fact plus the thickness of the weather stripping makes for awkward door closure. A few changes to some of the hardware and hole placement would have been great, but instead we have to have our contractor take one of the glass panels to our local glass technicians to make the whole thing work. Too bad, because it seemed like an attractive product at a reasonable price.

Because I had the walls open to the studs for cement backer board underlayment for the new tile work, I added wooden blocks into the walls at the points for placement of all of the anchoring screws for the panes. Individual panes are heavy and I had to carry them one-by-one up the stairs. My walls are not exactly square (85 year old house on pier and beam construction that will continue to shift) so I squared the panes to each other by resting them on the elevated base, and then used the supplied seals and added clear silicon caulking as needed along the edges of the contact with the walls to fill in the uneven spaces to waterproof. It is very difficult to see the caulking and the seal is watertight. So, even if your walls are not square, this enclosure can work for you but be sure that the panes are securely anchored to the studs and, depending on the size of the gap with the wall, you may need to use longer than supplied screws. I had one troublesome leak where water came out along the outside edge of the plastic base where it meets the floor, and I was worried that the base had a hairline crack. Believe it or not, ha ha, the answer came to me in a dream: turns out that water was seeping down the panes and entering the screw holes under the glass where the metal rail for the pane is connected to the plastic base. I caulked these screw holes and that solved the leak. Overall, I am happy with the unit and it nicely showcases my "expert" tile work (but arabesque tile is a challenge to work with).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad Design Skilled pro took two days to install this enclosure. A slight inward tilt on a finished tile wall caused lower door seal to remain open. Vigo support was useless the first time I called (door may be installed wrong, so play with the hardware -- DUH), but second call they helped us and the door finally closed. The problem is that any nudge against the door opens it mid shower, soaking the floor. The manual actually states (last page) to not direct water at the door or seals. WHO BUILDS A SHOWER ENCLOSURE WHERE WATER SHOULD NOT BE DIRECTED AT THE SIDES?!? We cancelled our order for a second unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thrilled with purchase The clear glass corner shower kit was a "home run" purchase! The drawings in the catalog do not do it justice as it is STUNNING. We were concerned that it would not be sturdy since it does not have a frame to brace it, but it is solid rock sturdy. We did hire a glass man to install it, only because of the weight of the three thick glass panels. The installer was impressed with the quality of the kit and the ease of installation. He said, "My company would have charged you nearly 3x as much to put in one just like it." Also it came packed very well and it included good directions. I would suggest that the installer set the panels in place before screwing the bottom brackets to the tile, just long enough to check everything. At that point it is very easy to adjust the position of the panels to insure a snug fit against the sides. Our installer did that and was able to prevent what would have been a 1/2" gap between the glass and the tile wall. The shower does not leak at all.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective This shower was defective . I had a professional install it and he could not get the door to hang properly. I even had a second contractor come in and see if he could fix the issue and he informed me that the product was defective and should be returned. For last 20 years Home Depot has been my go to store for all things house and garden. Despite the loss of labor cost which i will have to eat I am pleased to say that Home Depot continued to be a store i could believe in. I explained to manager the lengths that we went through to make this product work and they refunded my purchase price if full upon return , no issues. You rock Home Depot

Rated 5 out of 5 by from lovely, came with all the pieces, support provided This is not easy to install. Fortunately, they provide customer support. This was a new installation, and required two people and a LOT of time and patience. However, it is lovely, looks just like the picture.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice shower, cryptic instructions The quality of the materials is excellent. Be aware that the box is quite heavy and is shipped on a crate. At least two people will be needed to move the box as well as install the shower. The instructions need a lot of help, however. The diagrams, when provided, are NOT clear and the steps do not list a few crucial items, such as installing the seal on the *bottom* of the door, and that the metal bar supports need to be installed at an angle to the glass wall. (Ooops. Good thing I used tinted grout...) I'm still having a bit of water leakage at the bottom of the door but I suspect I still don't have the seal installed right.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice product looks great The quality of the materials and the overall product is excellent. Very well made parts and high quality 1/8 in glass. The only part I would complain about is the difficulty getting it installed perfectly. Im a contractor and am not new to this sort of thing. But overall installation took about an hour and a half. Then another hour to adjust and tweak everything to get a perfect seal and so the door opens and closes properly. For most individuals I would consider hiring someone. If your mechanical then just take your time and be patient. Its worth the work in the end. Overall nice product.
