Adding plastic lawn edging may seem difficult at first but if you follow the instructions and use a little common sense you will reap the rewards of a good looking edge. You may need to use some type of ground stakes to secure the edging during the installation process. Having used this product before I opted to not use any stakes.
Allow the edging to sit in the sun 30 minutes prior to installation, will make it easier to form shapes such as curves. Dig a trench deep enough to cover all the plastic except the top round ridge, and wide enough to allow adequate back-filling to permanently hold edging in place.
Compress the dirt and keep adding more and compressing until you are satisfied. I prefer to lightly mist the completed ground with water to ensure everything dries in place.

a) you HAVE to dig the ground out and place dirt on top. not good for already planted areas if you can't move the planted items.
b) see that tag in the picture? It doesn't come off. So if you want this product to be somewhat above ground, that unsightly glued on product sticker WILL be showing. in other words, this is good for a very shallow board (1/2"), but not for edging.
c) it stays put only if you stake it down as noted in instructions... NO STAKES COME WITH IT.
it works and looks nice - caveats aside

We were out edging and shoveling the lines in the yard where we wanted this, and it eventually did fit. And it will work for what we want it to do. I just wish it had been easier to put into the ground. I'm not sure what else I was expecting it to do, or how I was wanting it to work, but it does work in the end. I don't think I would recommend it if you were expecting a professional look, but if you don't care all too much, go ahead and get this!

product only comes with 1 piece to connect the ends so if your making multiple edges like tree rings tou have to make your own inserts to connect them.

I purchased several rolls of this to edge a rock border between the lawn and inground pool. It is definately for residential use. I discovered that the easiest way to work with it was to unroll it in the backyard and let it "sun" for a couple days and then it became really flexible (making it a one person job). Also, I used the metal pegs. The edging has been down for over a year and yes, I would recommend it for the price. However, I am going to use the commercial grade for the frontyard primarlily because my lawn service uses a huge tractor mower for the frontyard and I know the commercial grade will hold up better. Thankfully my lawn service uses a push mower in the backyard around the pool, porch and house so this edging works fine. Have fun!!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Larry A bit too thin for me
The roll is very hard to keep unrolled, it tendes to maintain its coil. This made it harder to install. Also it is very thin and split a few times trying to push it down with a spade.
