Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Judson Terrible Results, Maybe Application Is to Blame
I'm giving this 3 stars simply because I'm not sure what went wrong. The result is terrible, but it's possible that part of it was due to application, so I'm just going to explain exactly how I applied it and let other users decide if they think this will work for them.
I calculated and measured out the appropriate amount of product based on the guidelines on the package for the size of my yard. I did use a handheld spreader (which is not recommended) instead of a rolling one because that's all I owned. I applied to a wet yard when no rain was in the forecast. After 24 hours I watered the lawn for 5 or 6 minutes - by hand, not a sprinkler - since it had been mid 90s with no rain all week. I watered again briefly the following evening, and after that, I pretty much just left it alone. We did receive some rain from pop up storms 3-4 days out.
The photo attached was taken about a week after application. It's now been 2.5 weeks and it's no better. My lawn was certainly a mishmash of grass and weeds, but huge portions of what it killed was previously good growing grass. However, it seemingly had no effect on the tall skinny weeds (you know, the ones that result in you having to mow your yard in the middle of a drought because somehow they grow 10 times faster than grass even without water).
So, in summary, my result was terrible, but I'll take a little of the blame since I used a handheld spreader. If you consider this product, definitely make sure not to deviate from the instructions at all.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by quaddad Killed several weeds and greened up the lawn
This killed several weeds and greened up the lawn. It does have a problem killing off dichondra (stil working on that). I've had to hand pull a few dandelions and some crab grass, but not as much as in years past.
My St. Augustine is now very green and thick with roots extending around 4" into the soil. I'm happy looking out my window at the best lawn on the block.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by FloridaLawnMan Product worked well for me!
I am frankly shocked by these reviews, particularly those that suggest the product has no effect on the growth of the lawn.
My home is in a veritable forest. As you can see in the first photo, ten months ago there were huge areas in our lawn with very little grass. Ten months and two applications of Vigoro later, as demonstrated in the second photo (which was taken yesterday, so before the trees have filled in from the winter), we’ve made a lot of progress. This product has done an outstanding job of creating runners that have spread like crazy. We are probably still a year off from having full—complete coverage but as you can see, we’ve made a lot of progress with this product.
I’m completely satisfied.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by HarleyNoodle It's not Weed and Feed, It's Feed the Weeds
Killed most of my grass, now I have a bumper crop of weeds but very little grass. This stuff is terrible. Spend a buck or two more for the better named product.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ginna I thought I was buying a dollar weed killer
I agree with several of the reviews. The dollar weed are thriving after using the Vigoro southern weed and feed. Unfortunately I still have 2 unopened bags and don't have the receipt to return them. Now I need to buy a jug of weed b gone to do the job. How can this product be legally sold under the misnomer of week and feed. Guess they got the feed part right, feeds the weeds not the grass.
