If you grow vertical gardens as I do, these are a must have! They do stretch up to five feet (5') tall and there is an expansion pole and earth staples included in the kit.
I originally thought they'd be good for pole beans, but I'm leaning to think they will be best for climbing flowers like my Clematis. I believe they are sturdy enough to support those hybrid tomatoes meant for patio pots, peas and other like vining plants
I can tell you this, the next time I head into the city I will be visiting the 'Depot to get several more sets!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by travelynnn These spirals should be great support
I got these so I can start a little garden with beans and peas (my favorites) in pots. Now I just have to go buy the plants or seeds! Spiral is adjustable so as the plants grow, you can pull it up higher. You can also use these to train flower vines. I may do that after my veggies have been eaten!

I use this support for my bean plants. It's easy to install and holds the plants well.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Diannajh very easy and good looking!!
I had two volunteer tomato plants that have grown big enough to need support, this is what I used. I was very happy with how easy they were to apply and use and the support of the plants was awesome and wasn't too harsh for plants that had trailed until now. I am very happy with these. I think you will be too, the only bad part is the squirrels have easier access, boo!!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by CheesePatrol Seems to be holding up for now
Unfortunately my plants have not grown tall enough to use the supports at max height, but so far they're holding up. I haven't seen any sign of rust, even in the extremely humid South Florida environment.
My only concern with these is the potential for a loss of lateral stability at full height.
