Tree was beginning to lean due to fast growth brought on by excess rain. Purchased a staking kit from Home Depot, found it easy to set up/install, especially like the cushioning wrap that secures around tree as it does not harm the trunk.

I priced out the kit's components separately before deciding to buy this and it turns out it was less expensive to just get this kit. There's not much too it and it's pretty easy to install. I do wish the stakes were a tad longer since they tend to pull up if there's a lot of wind blowing the small tree we used this for.

Junk, save your money! The rope is terrible, the stakes break, and it has that horrible plastic smell of some far Eastern products.

Simple instructions. Staked up a new planting of a weeping willow tree 12 feet tall. It's held up well thru some strong spring storms! The tree is standing straight and tall.

Got this for a small tree (~1.5" diameter). Instead of hunting around for some hose, rope, and stakes, I thought I'd just pay a little more and get the whole package.
The main issue is the stakes. They're too weak. Broke 2 of the 3 while putting them in. Granted, the soil is compacted clay, but the stakes are simply cheap pieces of junk that shouldn't be included in this kit.
Wish I would have read the other review before purchasing this. Ended up putting in some wooden stakes lying around in my shed. I'll have to replace them with something more permanent soon.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by NWRambler Flimsy stakes, not recommended
The stakes are cheap black plastic. They bent when pounded into Seattle area soil. The also flex when tensioning rope. Also the package inventory printed on the front of the bag is wrong. It claims to have three ropes, there is only one rope that must be cut into "two" pieces, not three. Same with the rubber hose parts, wrong information listed. Avoid this kit, buy tent stakes and use your own rope and hose parts.
