These anchors are nice looking until the finish chips off. It took a long time to install and I had to use different nuts that fit better than the ones provided. They looked great for 1-2 years but then the poor quality aluminum started to spall beneath the paint. The paint just flaked off and now they look terrible. This is the second time in 5-6 years that I replaced them due to the awful looking finish. They do however still feel very sturdy. I am going to try to repaint them in place. We'll see how that goes.

It worked but had to use different redhead bolts to install because of limited room to tighten nuts.

This is anothe product designed by an engineer that has never attempted to install it. The fange is designed so that the nuts provided with the expansion anchor bolts will not work. There is not room between the bolt location and the flange to get the nut on the bolt. You have to buy regular nuts rather than the ones provided with the kit, and even then there is no room to get anything but an open end wrench on the nut and you can only get 1/6 of a revolution with each new bite. It takes forever to crank the nut down.
Make the engineers actually intall what they design and the world will be a better place.

I had replaced the old style iron brackets several times. They would rust and break after a few years. I look forward to not replacing these aluminum ones.

This thing cracked the first time I tried to snug it up. No, I didn't overtighten it. The base on my existing railing is a lot tougher.

The holes are punched too close to the post! Seriously, if you attempt to use this, you'll quickly find that the drill hole has to be exact (difficult with a hammer drill) or the nut will prevent the anchor bolt from going all the way down. It's such a simple thing to fix, very annoying that the company hasn't bothered to do so!!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by HFEHandymanServices Terrible Product
I had to install 6 of these - 3 per side - for a railing. The hardest part was drilling holes and lining up the flange with the holes - or more precise putting the bolts in the drilled holes and then lining up the floor flanges with the bolts. I was able to get the bolts through the floor flanges, but then the nuts that went on the bolts would hit the sides of the flanges. I ended up only securing 1 flange with all 4 bolts & nuts. I ended up gluing them in place with construction strength adhesive.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Adam This product is badly designed
The 4 mounting holes are to close to the main body and causing problem when installing nuts on the 4 concrete anchor bolts. Also the two post holding screws are to short.
