Well designed and easy to use, the two negatives are the base mounts, you need to use a box wrench to finishing tightening down the bolts . The base cut outs didn't have enough room for standard socket to fit and tighten all the way down . The other negative was the cost of the hardware . The product looks excellent and was very well-designed except for the base mounts.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MOFURT PART OF A TOTAL SYSTEM
This is only one part of a total Village Ironsmith rail system. All parts fit well except for the masonry connectors which are too unforgiving on how close the threaded connector comes to the rail footplate. The tolerance needs to be expanded for this part so it is easier to thread the nut on the connector without interference with the side of the footplate.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rubendwr All pieced worked well together
I ordered all of the pieces needed to construct a short railing for my back steps. All of the pieces worked well together and created an attractive railing.
The brackets bent for making a slanted or sloped railing possible. The only concern I do have is the ability of the coated finish to deter rust.
Pros: Easy to Install, Easy to Use, Easy to Work With, Economical, Great Value
Cons: may rust if exposed to prolonged weather exposure
