No hinges ... The process would be to "Pitch" the railing to match the angle of the stairs,, cut the end of the railing to match the stair angle, attach any floor flanges, then attach the raining with the no-drill connector at the top post attachment point. Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Handrail hardware. Well designed and easy to use, the two negatives are the base mounts, you need to use a box wrench to finishing tightening down the bolts . The base cut outs didn't have enough room for standard socket to fit and tighten all the way down . The other negative was the cost of the hardware . The product looks excellent and was very well-designed except for the base mounts. August 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not bad. I bought these and their counterpart railing set and you have to drill the railing and the posts. Used self taping secrews to attachthe railings tothe post July 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use Hardware was easy to use and makes the railing look good in the end. April 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by fixed dad's rails Easy to use but had to grind down some to fit on dad's rails November 10, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy installation Required to install fence to rails. Effective design. August 11, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by PART OF A TOTAL SYSTEM This is only one part of a total Village Ironsmith rail system. All parts fit well except for the masonry connectors which are too unforgiving on how close the threaded connector comes to the rail footplate. The tolerance needs to be expanded for this part so it is easier to thread the nut on the connector without interference with the side of the footplate. April 28, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Connects Rail To the Post These items Are Used To Connect the rail to the post. a Necessary purchase. Easy to Install and easy to adjust. June 2, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by All pieced worked well together I ordered all of the pieces needed to construct a short railing for my back steps. All of the pieces worked well together and created an attractive railing. The brackets bent for making a slanted or sloped railing possible. The only concern I do have is the ability of the coated finish to deter rust. Pros: Easy to Install, Easy to Use, Easy to Work With, Economical, Great Value Cons: may rust if exposed to prolonged weather exposure February 26, 2013
