Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Alex inexpensive, good looking, user-friendly
Hard to beat for the money. Look nice once installed. Unobtrusive yet sufficiently sturdy. I used posts with the matching components - everything fits well.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by azne69 Okay for now
The first set I had rusted out after several years. I'm thinking it was mainly the use of salt used during the winter otherwise they are solid and work okay. I bought several posts just in case they are needed come this spring.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by kfetz posts for the iron railing
These are much needed in the installation of the iron railing. They are predrilled for raising or lowering the railing. Match the décor of the home in the black décor. Are sturdy ...are necessary .. are easy to install. the porch and steps I put these on are the talk of the town.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rubendwr Pieces of the railing worked well together
I ordered all of the pieces needed to construct a short railing for my back steps. All of the pieces worked well together and created an attractive railing. The only concern I do have is the ability of the coated finish to deter rust.

the post were wrapped securely but looked like they were dragged by the truck that shipped them. The tops were scratched up and they looked bad even though they were brand new. Terrible.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Skier Good with some caveats
The Newel Post is a good, solid piece. I didn't have any problems with it during my installation. Here is my full review of everything:
We had been looking for railing and found this online. We had considered a variety of options including composite railing and vinyl. It turned out that this was the best deal for the amount that we needed (which was quite a bit).
This railing is pretty good looking. It looks pretty fancy, especially for how inexpensive it is. It installed pretty easily as well. Please note that you will need all the pieces including the posts, the floor flange, and the connectors in order to install. It comes together nicely on a level surface and feels pretty sturdy. I don't think it would hold up to someone running full speed into it, but you can lean on it and probably fall into it without any problems.
However, the posts on the actual rail (not the newel post or the bigger posts on top and bottom, but the small ones in the middle) do bend relatively easily. They are a thin metal and you could easily change their shape. Just something to keep in mind. Also, there are only 7 of the thin posts on each piece of rail (unlike what is shown in the picture). So they are spaced a bit further apart.
Installation on stairs is a bit more tricky. You use the same pieces (no stair kit), and just bend and cut. This takes a lot of patience but isn't impossible. The rail cuts relatively easy with a grinder. I did find the stairs frustrating at times trying to get them all to line up etc. I don't know how other stair rails are, so I really can't compare though.
At the end of the day, we're happy with our purchase. It looks nice and serves it's purpose. It was quite a bit cheaper than the other options we were considering. Given that, we're willing to deal with some of the downsides (though I don't consider them to be dealbreakers obviously).
