Customer Reviews

Rated 2.8 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Major design Flaw. Door does not seal After 4 (yes, four) attempts to get an acceptable version of this model through VinoTemp, we have given up. All four coolers arrived with the same significant flaw: a 1/4 inch gap between the unit and the door seal due to bowing/warping of the front door. Without an adequate door seal, how can you expect to keep the wine temperature stable? It's a pretty cabinet, but what's the point? VinoTemp assured us they would inspect each succeeding unit for the flaw before it left their warehouse. We even sent them pictures. All four had the same problem. We can only conclude that there is a major design flaw for this model. January 6, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by I like everything about the unit but the frequent compressor noise. The compressor (condenser per Vinotemp) comes on every 10 minutes ALL DAY LONG. The fans come on for 20 seconds every 20 seconds. The unit is in my kitchen and I don.t like the frequent noise. I also feel that the unit in not in the least energy efficient. I have no air leakage around the door, the unit is level, and the ambient temperature is 70 degrees with the unit set for 56 degrees. Vinotemp tells me this is normal. both my refrigerators are silent in comparison. March 23, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Choice The Vinotemp VT-140 TS BW wine cooler is terrible. The drawers are so close together that you cannot even pull them out to get the bottles in the back. When you do pull out the shelves they are so close together they scratch off the labels of the bottles. I would NEVER recommend this product. December 10, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks Good I've only had this for a month or so, a little disappointed with the quality of the racks, figured everything would be a little tighter. Depending on the circumference of your bottles dictates the amount of bottles it will hold, the fatter your 750's are, the above racks may scratch your bottles, so you may have to remove a rack or two to fit some of your bottles. This is something I should have taken into consideration when purchasing this item. I figured I'd have to remove some for 1.5 L's and 3 L's, but didn't figure I would have a problem with the 750ml's... I did. so the cooler doesn't fit as many bottles as I anticipated. Something I should have figured but just food for thought. Overall, I think It looks great and for the price I got it for $1650 or so, I think it was a pretty good deal. Haven't had it long enough to comment on the ability or longevity of the cooler itself. But I am satisfied. November 15, 2011
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product, great presentation It gives a beautiful display of your collection, the dual temp is a great feature. excellent capacity. only one minor weakness the door lock is a great feature however it only locks at the bottom so the top of the door could get pried open if someone wanted. top and bottom locking would be a nice enhancement November 12, 2011
