Cut out height is the total height you should leave when installing this product under a counter or shelf. Thank you.

Hello Peter,
Since the cooler can be used as a free standing or built in unit, "cutout" in this case refers to the amount of free space needed within an enclosure. Appliances need a certain amount of "breathing room" when fit into enclosures like cabinets. Manufacturers account for this space when describing the room necessary to fit the unit. I hope this helps.

Thank you for your question. The door cannot be reversed, however, we do offer this model in both right or left hinge so that two can sit side by side.

Rated 3.4 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by We really like this, so far... When we purchased the wine cooler I made the mistake of not paying attention to the left or right hinge issue. We needed a left hinge so we could open it from the right side after having it installed in a cabinet. Well, lo and behold, it has a right side hinge. When I e-mailed Vinotemp about it they said the door and hinge were irreversible on this particular unit and could not be changed. I've learned an expensive lesson. Other than that, we have no issues with it. It runs quiet, looks good, and the pre-set temperature of 50 degrees for the upper and 60 degrees for the lower are perfect. A wine expert friend of ours confirmed that those are good temperatures. I haven't verified it for accuracy, but so far it seems to be okay. August 31, 2011
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Sent it back! This wine fridge is LOUD! We placed it under our granite counter top in an open design kitchen/dining room. The compressor turned on every 4 minutes and was louder than our regular fridge. When the compressor shut off it made a louder clunking sound. Called the company to ask about it and was told their phones were down! (how did I speak with someone?) They took my name and email and said they would contact me. They did not!! Took it back to Home Depot!! Those people were friendly and helpful!! July 12, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful wine refrigerator the dual zone and clean appearance with controls easy to find and use outside the unit on top make this a must-be-considered wine refirgerator for the home. It looks great and the reviews by independent researchers have this as a top 3 unit/model, with the best pricing. December 24, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by $900 lemon If you are ever in the market for a wine chiller, AVOID VINOTEMP LIKE THE PLAGUE! The top shelf on mine was installed incorrectly, reducing the capacity by eight bottles. The electronic controls had a glitch where I had to turn off the unit and back on before I could adjust the temperature. And after barely a year and a half of use, the unit has a freon leak. $900 down the drain. May 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great value for your money I read alot of reveiws for many different brands of wine coolers on several websites which helped me narrow my choice down to this one. It had all the features we were looking for & looks great. Many other comparable wine coolers were much more expensive & the reviews said how loud those other brands were. I am very impressed by how quiet the Vinotemp is!! Of course it is not silent but does not make any more noise than my refridge & after a bit you don't even notice it. The racks on this wine cooler are sturdy & have a stop on it so you won't accidently pull it all the way out plus they are removable so you can put bigger bottles on the bottom. Only features we wish it had was the reversable door & a recessed handle on the top in addition to the one on the side to work better in the space where we installed it but all in all we are very pleased with this product so far!! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A little pricy, but good I bought it about 2 months ago. So far it is working well. I would prefer the shelves to slide smoother. Bordeaux bottles (elongated ones) fit well. Pass this size they don't unless you remove a shelf, Overall it suits my needs and the look and capacity are great. March 10, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by bad oroduct bought a 250 bottle vintemp unit. sensor went out in two years and the whole cooling unit had to be replaced in five years. Would not recommend buying one. April 29, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what we were looking for We needed to replace a wine refrigerator that needed major overhauling. This was the right size and specifications. It is quiet and maintains the temperatures as set. June 25, 2011
