I just plugged mine in a week or two ago and everything is fine so far. Some minor quibbles: The unit tends to short cycle due to the placement of the temperature probe under the cold air outlet. You need to extend the on/off temp gap above the nominal 4 degrees--to say 7 or 8 to get it to stay on long enough to cool the cellar. I called Vinotempt to ask if I could set it at 70 degrees, and they said no. I went to the max temp parameter and changed it from 65 to 70 degrees--no problem. Some of the other parameters are a little confusing--like the guy said if I increased the Fon to more than 0, the humidity would increase. I put it at 1 and it cycled on every 15 minutes for 1 minute, even while the cellar was at correct temp., so I put it back to 0. Bottom line is the controller lets you do almost anything you need to, but it takes a some fiddling to make sure the cellar stays at the right temp. Nice build quality. We'll see how long it lasts...

I had installed as per directions and the unit was so loud that I had to re-install myself and add all sorts of sound deadening material. Still far too loud. Going to give it one more try and if it doesn't work it's going back.
It does work, it does keep a pretty constant temp +/- 2 degrees but the humming is not bearable.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by WineFan This is a great little machine
I bought this for my cellar under my staircase, It was easy to install. And cooled the room right down to 55 degrees with in 24 hours. I only have 100 bottles right now, but this machine is supposed to be good up 1000 bottles. Works great as of now. A bit noisy but i insulated around the machine and it quilted it down.
