Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Mark Nice but disappointed after 6 months
Torn about decision to recommend to others or not
Grill is 6 months old, has cooked great food BUT
- insulation around top of grill and on top already falling apart so there is NO longer a seal to keep the heat in
They need to fix these issues

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by hdg Excellent, versatile Kamado at a reasonable price
This is a great Kamado grill and is an excellent value when you consider the cost of similar grills in the market - we are talking 30-50% less for this Vision grill. The grill is very versatile - I just seared steaks direct at 600 degrees, changed to indirect and lowered temp to 350 to finish the steaks, then went back to direct and grilled veggies. Pizzas are outstanding on this thing. Low and slow ribs or chicken have turned out great - and require virtually no tending unlike with my old charcoal smoker where I had to constantly check and add charcoal and try to maintain the proper temp. Once you get the hang of the temperature control, you can cook pretty much anything on this grill. Like some others have noted, I did have some air leakage around the ash drawer and lighter port. Contacted Vision Grills customer service and they fixed me up right away with some silicone - although this is easily obtained just about anywhere. Glad I didn't let the reviews on the air leaks scare me away from this grill...it is outstanding. It would be great, of course, if the thing arrived without the leaks, but in the end, I'm so happy with the grill and the price I paid versus the competition that I got over it quickly.

My Firebox cracked after first use. Finish was mediocre at best. You get what you pay for with this grill. Assembly was a pain, hardware is poor. Couldn't keep the temp down because the grill has multiple air leaks
On the plus side, Home Depot was very responsive and took the grill back no problem.
After doing more research, I found a ceramic grill made in the USA (Vision is made in China) with a similar style grill that sells for about 925.00, Quality is much better! I ended up buying a larger oval style from the same company (Primo).
Before buying this grill do some research, and save yourself a lot of time and headaches.

First bracket broke... After putting all together...had to go back to store to get another bracket. That one didn't fit correctly. Meat didn't cook like it was supposed to... Had to clean it all out and return. Will not buy again.

Arrived in perfect condition. Packaging was very well thought out and well made. Other than the weight, was easy to assemble. I did have to replace the stainless steel screw in the dome vent as it was too short and fell out. Got a 1/4 in longer screw, no more problems.
First time, had difficulty controlling temp, but subsequent cooks have gone extremely well. The food has been great, the unit looks great, love the clean out and lighting ports.

The grill was easy to assembly, but you will need a friend to lift the grill to the base. Cooking is very easy and the flavor is excellent.
I would prefer is for the price, they should include at least the lava stone.
So far we are turning on the grill twice a week.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by KamadoLover Vision Grill S Series from Home Depot
I've had this grill for about 1 month. Honestly, it's mediocre at best. It has multiple air leaks which makes it difficult to control the temperature, and shut down takes a while. In turn, more charcoal is used. Additionally, the fire box is not level across the top, making the grate wobble.
In my opinion, these issues should not exists, nor should I need to modify the unit as many people have done. Yes, this is a less expensive unit than an Egg or a Joe, but, I recommend spending a bit more money and getting a better product.
