Answer:
You have to hold the hot tab until the red light stops blinking. The light should stay on and then there should be hot water.

Answer:
Push the "RED" button above the hot lever, to get the hot water start heating up. When the light stops flashing the water is hot enough and you can slide the locking lever to the side and get your hot water out.

Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. I believe it would be best to reach out to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer is Glacier Bay and their customer service department can be reached at 1-877-527-0313 and select "Option 3."

Answer:
You have to remove the bottle support collar (works for me) or the anti-overflow contraption on the bottom of the zero water (not tested by me yet and Greenway has the same thing that won't work with the bottle support collar either). I'm not sure why they would recommend using a lower quality filter system that has the same problem as Zero water but I'd stick with zero water personally

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.0 out of 5 by 65 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good value for the price The only issue that could be better, is that the unit is a bit noisy when it is going through its cooling mode. During the day I dont really notice it because it isnt as quiet inside the house, but at night if I go in the kitchen it hums kind of loud. But it doesnt interrupt sleep at all. The hot water feature saves energy, and takes about a minute to heat up. Some of these negative reviews are amusing, as alot of them are user error and not the machine. some people Do Not read directions obviously. you have to use the machine as instructed or you will have issues. You Cannot use capless bottles or you will spill water everywhere! You peel the plastic off around the lower part of cap on a new bottle. Then when you set it on top, the spike will push the small center cap inside the bottle and fill up the unit. when it is empty you pull off the bottle then pop off the bottle cap and retrieve the smaller push cap from inside the bottle. Then you push and snap the small cap onto the underside of the bottle cap. Then you get the bottle refilled and snap your bottle cap back on, and it is ready to use over and over again. I like how you can adjust the cold water temperature. There is a button on the back of the unit to adjust the temperature. I would avoid going much past 80% of the way as you dont want to risk it freezing up. I would definitely recommend this unit. just make sure to always use it as instructed. January 1, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by THE UNIT LASTED ONE YEAR AND A MONTH. COMPRESSOR GAVE OUT!!! The unit was working properly then after one year and one month the compressor gave out. first went into HD for assistance to replace the compressor or other, no resolution but to call the HD part telephone number and manufacturer (which is HD)! Glacier Bay is HD product. Called HD and since the one year warranty expired, no help could be given but to take my loss. Would not recommend this brand due to quality and buying insurance is like paying upfront for a replacement of sam product that won't last long. Save yourself the time and hassle and purchase a better quality product that may cost more. August 17, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Slow Flowing dispenser The water flows out really slow. If that's how it is I'm considering returning this dispenser I can't be standing there all day waiting for a small glass of water to get filled Is this a problem that can be fixed or did I just buy a faulty item? Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Junk! Have had this a year and a half. About 2 months ago started sounding louder.... Now it's like a freight train coming thru the kitchen. Don't buy....have seen other reviews lately with same problem February 3, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by disappointed I was excited about having this water dispenser as it was my first one. I followed the instructions and tried to do everything right. Needless to say, the cold water started leaking so bad to where water was all over my floor. Fortunately I went to the kitchen very early and cleaned up the water puddle before anyone stepped in and slipped from the water on the floor. I couldn't understand why this dispenser deteriorated so rapidly since it had been only two weeks. I will be returning it and will never buy from this brand again. August 9, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy unit I purchased this unit to replace an older unit I had for several years from a different manufacturer. The Vitapur unit looked nice and was priced reasonably. After initial installation, it performed OK. Unfortunately, the compressor was EXTREMELY loud. I installed it in our kitchen and when the compressor ran during the cooling cycle, the noise was so loud it was difficult to carry on a conversation. In addition to the noise, the other problem I had with the unit was that it did not have a separate shutoff switch. You have to unplug the unit to shut it off. I returned the unit the next day. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Extremely LOUD! The cooler is EXTREMELY LOUD! It sounds like an old ice box when cooling. It can be heard over watching a movie with the surround sound on and is very annoying. The bottom does not have adjustable feet which makes it hard to keep stable on any surface. On a good note: It is small and can be placed out of the way. The cold water temperature can be adjusted. The old saying, "You get what you pay for" is ideal hear. July 25, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Buyers Beware Read 58 reviews. Got to LOVE this design to take a chance. #1 purchase no box discounted. Kettle didn't work. #2 purchase out of box plugged in and compressor blew. #3 purchase display model, loud noisy. #4 purchase +prayer= quiet, works. Now few days old, still running. Fingers crossed every day. So why the bother and hassle? Looks great in my kitchen. Will let you know if there will be #5... August 10, 2014
