Customer Questions & Answers

How can I fix my Glacier Bay water dispenser from continually dripping cold water?

The cold water drips water continually, button not stuck, it just drips. It drips at least 1 cup every 4 hours.

How do I stop the water from flooding the kitchen floor?

The other day I walked into my kitchen and noticed that the floor was flooded. My husband checked inside the dispenser and everything seemed to be attached correctly. We cleaned up the mess and then later in the evening the kitchen was flooded again. The buttons used to get stuck but we have learned to press in the middle of the button to keep it from overflowing the cup.

I put white Lithium grease down in the slides of the buttons and they don't stick on mine.

remove bottle collar

Asked by: Anonymous
The bottle collar is tight and hard to turn or twist, but if you put 3 finger tips in the slot with your right hand and simultaneously pull toward the front with a little pressure and twist in the direction of the arrows, it will move a little bit. Keep doing this until the remove arrows line up and then pull toward the front and lift up on the back, the collar will come off. Tabs underneath the edge have to line up with slots before it will release.

Customer Reviews

Hot and Cold Water Dispenser is rated 2.0 out of 5 by 61.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Area51 I bought this water cooler 1 year ago as Christmas present for the family. For 100 bucks not a bad deal. Tap water is not the best any more. We enjoy the taste of cold bottled water. It did have a problem which is easily solved. I was not to long after we started using it that the cold water valve would stick and you panic as the water overflows to the floor. This is easily solved by some silicone plumbers grease which can be purchased at any hardware store. The hot and cold valve pushbuttons have slot guides, apply plumbers grease to these slots and the valves will function freely.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from coldwater gets stuck I had bought this last summer. I was very happy at first till the first time the cold water button got stuck and all the water ended up in my basement and ruined by ceiling tiles. This happend a few more times and you would fear everytime you got water that it would get stuck. I just threw it away this morning and purchased a new one and a different one. I am not happy that my ceiling tiles got ruined or the fact that I wasted 98.00.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy this!!! As you can read on all the other bad reviews, this dispenser works for a few months, then the buttons stop working and water ends up all over the floor!. Fortunatly I have been close by every time it happens.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible! The cold button does NOT shut off when the bottle is more than 1/2 way full, noisy, the resoviour is small so you have to keep the bottle top on, I am returning mine when my bottle is empty!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Buy This I bought this and shortly after the cold water button started to stick every time it was pushed and water leaks all over. As you can see by all the other reviews this is a major problem with this product. Please don't waste your money on this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY Bought this unit. All the boxes in the store had poor packaging. They had to be tied together to keep the bottom of the box from falling out. Got the unit home and went through ALL the cleaning instructions only to find the hot water tap would release NO water. It was a Sunday so customer service was closed. The next day I got customer service on the phone. The Rep was not at all friendly and kept giving me instructions that made no sense. I had to tell her the model number 4 times and repeat over and over what the problem was. She was giving me instructions for another model! She was rude and said "bring it back to the store." So we had to empty the water out and box it back up and return it. I would never buy another product from this manufacturer. If HD was smart they would carry a different brand of water coolers. Do yourself a favor and do not go through the hassle of buying this unit!
