Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nate No More Nose Bleeds
I have allergies all year due to the year round pollen and mold in central Texas. So I bought a high end air purifier for a large room. The problem is (even when the outside humidity is above 50%) the air purifier dries out the inside air to the point that I get a nose bleed from the dry air. It's even worst in the winter. I bought this humidifier to compensate for the air purifier eating up all the moisture. I also bought this so I can set it to 45% and not have to worry about if I'm making it to humid inside. So far no nose bleeds and no more dry itchy skin.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by satisfied and repeat customer A very effective humidifier
I use this product to humidify and clean very dry air; consistent use during very dry months September to March. I like the variety of settings and quiet operation. It is difficult to clean the fan enclosure . . . but the product output and quiet running are worth the extra effort.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Buddy Does what it says
Does a good job of humidifying up to 300 sq. ft. size room, shutting itself off when satisfied. Seems to run continuously though in a larger room. Operation on low fan speed is very quiet.
This product has benefitted my wife's dry mouth/ eyes issues and our small dog's breathing issues (collapsing trachea).

I would recommend it with the reservation that when it's set at the highest level (for greatest humidification) it's very noisy. And when it's very cold out, in a dry apartment, it needs to be at the highest level, so you have this constant noise in the background. (At the lower setting, it's very quiet.) This is also the reason I gave it an overall rating of Good and not Excellent. (Same with Value.) It's a good, well-made product and it does humidify well. Too bad they can't make a humidifier that puts out a lot of moisture without making a lot of noise. I'd be willing to pay more money for a product like that and I bet other people would, too.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rg1 Working good for our small mobile home.
We live in a small mobile home in a senior community. My wife needed more humitity to help her from coughing so much. It takes care of our 800 sq ft home. Very easy to operate and fill. Only down side is having to fill the container every day. After filling container with water it is too heavy for my wife si I have to be the one to do it. Would be nice if it could be filled without lifting the container off but all in all a very good value. It is also small which doesn't take up much room which is important to us living in a small home.

I may have gotten one of those defective models. I ran this unit 7/24 for 3 weeks. The humidity never reached the setting of 45%. The closest it got was 41% after the initial 3 days. After that, it ranged from 21% to 28%. It ran at the highest setting at all times and it was very noisy. The low setting overnight dropped the humidity further and could not maintain nor reach even 35%. Do not bother with this model as it is not worth it. We've tried several different humidifiers already including Crane, but that's a separate review.

Living in the high desert of New Mexico a humidifier is a necessity. We have tried a number of different models and brands over the years and are extremely pleased with the performance of this product. A plus is that it is made in Kansas.
