Customer Questions & Answers

I would like to buy the holder only, not the post. Can you tell me how the holder attaches?

Asked by: Anonymous
This holder attaches to the post I bought by sliding into a groove that was in the holder. It's like it was made for that particular post. If you wanted to attach it to another type of post I 'd say you have to use screws, clamps or some other sort of manually installed holder.

What is this newspaper holder made of?

Is this metal? plastic? Can it be picked up in store?
Asked by: Anonymous
The box is plastic, or PVC. The same material the mailbox post is made of. Not sure if it can be picked up in the store.

Customer Reviews

Mailbox Newspaper Holder in White is rated 3.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from A lot of work, but does the job The postal service informed me as a new resident that I needed to install a curbside mailbox. I fretted over this, about whether to go with concrete or some other type of anchor. I decided to try this product after watching videos online. It is NOT easy to install. (Perhaps that is due to the rocky or rooty New England Soil.) After leveling a circle to install the screw, I inserted this anchor and began to turn. Each time I did it, it would get about 2/3 of the way in and begin to go crooked. I moved it around in my space about 4 times and finally found a place where it would go all the way in. But it is not level. But by using some sturdy stones and some shims I made out of an old 1 by 1 piece of pressure treated wood, I was able to make the anchor relatively sturdy and level. Once I did that, and then finished my mailbox install, its seems to be holding up okay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from heavy-duty construction I purchased this "newspaper box" because here in Florida it can rain just about anytime and I was getting tired of my newspapers getting wet. Although, it is constructed well, it is WAY too small. The daily papers fit in it, but there is no way the Sunday paper will. I plan to return it and build one out of wood that is bigger.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from On the smallish side for large newspaper editions. Also did not realize we needed to get the bracket to install. On the smallish side for large newspaper editions. Also did not realize we needed to get the bracket to install.
