Answer:
I had to purchase online because the stores in my area only stock the $200/up name brands. It took about a week for UPS to deliver.I'm really glad I bought it.

7/8 in. to 1-3/4 in. Coil Roofing Nailer with Magnesium Housing is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Price was right! I don't like to rent tools as after about 2 times u might as well have bought one and it's yours for future projects! I was not sure if this was the right thing to do when I had to re-roof my garage but found this roofing gun online and ordered it, my brother in law has been a builder for most his life and I told him that in other reviews they said it would double shoot a lot but another said it was just operator error, after doing the job he said also that the review that said it was operator error was right as he had no problem what so ever and also after all the years of using guns that this one was light and did not twist his wrist so hard that it hurt after running it all day long, he said it was for sure worth the money, which was under $100 and he would use it anytime I needed another job done or also recommend it to others looking for a good roofing gun!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for a do-it-yourselfer like myself !! Exceeded my expectations. I was a little worried due to the price, but it is holding up great with only one jam in 620 nails so far. I was also worried if my little compressor would be enough to supply the power it needed. I have a 6 gallon portable that puts out 5.0 CFM at 40 PSI / 4.0 CFM at 90 PSI........it works great !!! So, what I'm saying is that you don't need a high power compressor to run this thing! The nail depth was also very consistent. Some adjustments necessary, but not very often and very easy/quick to do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pnuematic Coil Roofing Nailer This product worked good in my initial test. It seem to be very strong and it has consistent operational characteristics with a solid sound when in operation. These units are great for the home DIYer. Low cost and great for applying siding or sheathing using the 1.5 to 1.75 inch roofing nails, You can often do a job with one person that would have required two if using a hammer. Holding the work piece and starting the first nail.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for the price The good is: this nailer does the job if operated properly. The complaints about double strikes are true, but only if you try to hold the nailer against the surface too tightly. Use a light touch and double strikes won't be a problem. The depth control mechanism is deficient. The adjustment knob has no positive stop, so it rotates freely, changing the settings as the nailer is used. There are other problems, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Buy for DIY Roofers My 16 yr old mobile home needed a new roof after wind/hail damage. I went with architectural shingles over the existing 3 tab roof ( + new layer of felt) and wondered if this gun would work with my 2hp8gal compressor I paid $40 for at a salvage/surplus store- the gun worked very well! It tended to shortnail every 15th nail B4 the compressor kicked in but I don't blame the gun.

I know it's the cheap brand but all I needed it for was a shed roof 22ftx14ft. Which was 12 bundles of shingles (240 shingles total - 5 nails in each) Over 1000 nails and it worked flawlessly. Good weight, easy to load. Solid metal parts where it needed to be. $79 yeah it's worth it if it never shot another nail.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Could BeStronger I think there should have been a few more studs in back wall, which I added myself. Did not go together as well as I hoped, but that could indeed be my fault. Overall I have to say I like it. It does what I wanted it to do and I'd have to say compared to other brands, it is way less expensive. I am happy with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well for DIY use This roofing nailer speeds up the job, is light weight and comfortable to handle. While it is not professional grade it is ideal for the handyman. It is sensitive and will double shoot pretty easy so it takes a little getting used to to prevent double shooting but once you get used to it, it works great.
