I don't like to rent tools as after about 2 times u might as well have bought one and it's yours for future projects! I was not sure if this was the right thing to do when I had to re-roof my garage but found this roofing gun online and ordered it, my brother in law has been a builder for most his life and I told him that in other reviews they said it would double shoot a lot but another said it was just operator error, after doing the job he said also that the review that said it was operator error was right as he had no problem what so ever and also after all the years of using guns that this one was light and did not twist his wrist so hard that it hurt after running it all day long, he said it was for sure worth the money, which was under $100 and he would use it anytime I needed another job done or also recommend it to others looking for a good roofing gun!!

I think there should have been a few more studs in back wall, which I added myself. Did not go together as well as I hoped, but that could indeed be my fault. Overall I have to say I like it. It does what I wanted it to do and I'd have to say compared to other brands, it is way less expensive. I am happy with it.

Read lots of reviews where people said this gun double shoots nails... I redid the roof on my house and shot over 5,000 nails with it. Double shot a nail ONCE and that's because I kept the trigger down and it shot the second nail on the bounce. User error... when I held the trigger down and tapped the gun or held the gun firmly in place and pulled the trigger it never bounced and double shot... so just FYI for potential buyers of this gun... all of the double shooting Nails reviews, is user error and not gun malfunction... the only complaint I have is that the depth wheel is a bit loose and needs to be readjusted every so often.. I solve this problem with a dab of Loctite on the threads...Great Gun great price

I purchase this for a 700 sq roofing project for my carport. Having done my 12x16 shed a few years ago by hand, I figured this would be a great improvement. This gun had two major flaws. Issue 1 was double nailing. The gun popped out 2 nails with one trigger pull about ever 10 shots. Second issue was that the roll of nails kept disconnecting from the feed paw. I tried everything I could think of to remedy. I adjusted the air pressure up and down, I reviewed specs of my nails to make sure they were the correct type, I looked for a feed paw adjustment, I tried uncoiling the nail roll some thinking that maybe it was getting hung up, I tried inserting just a short coil to ensure it wasn't getting twisted. I even tried putting a piece of tape in the latch that holds the feed paw door shut thinking that more pressure on the door might keep the nails in the feeder. Nope. Maybe I got a defective unit. Not sure. I emailed Wen, but I'm so annoyed at this point that I am not even waiting for a reply from them. I am returning this product tomorrow morning.

It performs well for home use not to high production use in the roofing industry

I bought it to roof a 16x24 patio cover. During that job it jammed twice and double struck about 20 to 30 times (lost count). So while the quality is not impressive, for the price it was way better than hammering it out.

I have shoot over 10,000 nails with this gun and have no problems, make sure you keep it oiled and it will keep nailing.
