Exceeded my expectations. I was a little worried due to the price, but it is holding up great with only one jam in 620 nails so far.
I was also worried if my little compressor would be enough to supply the power it needed. I have a 6 gallon portable that puts out 5.0 CFM at 40 PSI / 4.0 CFM at 90 PSI........it works great !!! So, what I'm saying is that you don't need a high power compressor to run this thing!
The nail depth was also very consistent. Some adjustments necessary, but not very often and very easy/quick to do.

This worked out great. Instead of driving 70 miles to rent we spent just a few dollars more and now own them. We actually got 2 because we had help on the project. Would definitely recomend this item.

The good is: this nailer does the job if operated properly. The complaints about double strikes are true, but only if you try to hold the nailer against the surface too tightly. Use a light touch and double strikes won't be a problem. The depth control mechanism is deficient. The adjustment knob has no positive stop, so it rotates freely, changing the settings as the nailer is used. There are other problems, too.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Preachermikey Great Buy for DIY Roofers
My 16 yr old mobile home needed a new roof after wind/hail damage. I went with architectural shingles over the existing 3 tab roof ( + new layer of felt) and wondered if this gun would work with my 2hp8gal compressor I paid $40 for at a salvage/surplus store- the gun worked very well! It tended to shortnail every 15th nail B4 the compressor kicked in but I don't blame the gun.

This product worked good in my initial test. It seem to be very strong and it has consistent operational characteristics with a solid sound when in operation. These units are great for the home DIYer. Low cost and great for applying siding or sheathing using the 1.5 to 1.75 inch roofing nails, You can often do a job with one person that would have required two if using a hammer. Holding the work piece and starting the first nail.

This roofing nailer speeds up the job, is light weight and comfortable to handle. While it is not professional grade it is ideal for the handyman. It is sensitive and will double shoot pretty easy so it takes a little getting used to to prevent double shooting but once you get used to it, it works great.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by planner I know it's the cheap brand but all I needed it for was a shed roof 22ftx14ft. Which was 12 bundles of shingles (240 shingles total - 5 nails in each) Over 1000 nails and it worked flawlessly. Good weight, easy to load. Solid metal parts where it needed to be. $79 yeah it's worth it if it never shot another nail.
