Answer:
No you cannot. The gun sprays lacquer well, but the cleanup with lacquer thinner destroyed my Detail Finish Nozzle the first time I cleaned it. Once the needle seal leaks you must buy a new Detail Finish Nozzle. $30.00 for new nozzle each use vs. ? $300 or $400 for a better gun/system.

I'll be painting kitchen cabinets and am using a latex paint. Do I use water to thin or is there a thinning product that is recommended? Is there a recommended ratio for thinning? Thank you.

Answer:
Water can be used to thin latex paint. You can also use a paint conditioner to assist with thinning. A combination of the two, water to thin and conditioner to help with the finish, is often helpful. How much thinning depends on how thick your latex paint is. Thicker paints will need more thinning than thinner paints in order to spray well. 10% thinning is a good place to start.

Answer:
The Detail nozzle only has a slightly larger orifice than the nozzle that comes with the Control Spray so it still will not spray latex paint. The Control Spray is designed to spray thin bodied materials such as stains, sealers, urethanes, water base lacquers etc... It is not designed to spray paint. If you want to spray latex paint you may want to look at our line of Flexio sprayers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not a great finish The fine nozzle leaves a pebbly finish, reminds me of sprayed popcorn ceilings. Not great for furniture or anything where the texture of the finish matters.
