We had a wooden fence put up in our backyard (about 100 ft) and chose to protect it with a stain paint. We used Behr Transparent and bought the Wagner Flexio 570 with the recommendation of the paint sales guy. The sprayer ruined our fence. The stain came out real blotchy and there were drips everywhere. I stopped using the sprayer half way through and painted by hand...What a disappointment

Great while it works but it keeps getting clogged, if you don't mind dealing with the clogs then it's great

Purchased to paint my shed that has texture 111 on the outside. Sprayer work excellent with no issues, covered a large area without using a lot of paint. Coverage was approx. 300 sq/ft per gallon. I used Behr exterior primer/paint. Flowed well with no issues. The two speed trigger works well to allow the turbine to spin up to full speed prior to paint coming out. i recommend taking the time to clean up the sprayer when done, so you don't have any problems when using it again. well worth the money, saved me hours of rolling. Sprayed approx 300 sq/ft in about 1 hr. i would recommend this sprayer for the homeowner for outdoor use.

I purchased this spray gun for a exterior cedar shingle paint task using solid stain oil based stain. This item does not handle this stain well at all, trying all different settings there was none that was really good. The gun shoots the stain out like you are using a liquid cleaner spray bottle, the pattern is not uniform, the spray is rough would never even consider using this on anything but semi to rough surface material. The gun is very heavy for use off a ladder or even when standing on the ground, you basically need two hands to hold the gun level and in use. There was very little thought behind the manufacture of this spray gun, the parts have too many nooks and crannys to make cleaning the unit comfortable, the use of threads to hold the paint bottle is absurd, very difficult to get the threads cleaned after use, should have some type of snap clip lock for this part of the unit just like the professional body shop spray guns have. The worst two other things about this unit are first it is plastic, even the motor cover plastic vents fell off because the plastic tab gave way, nothing like good ole steel. Then the obvious it is made in china. Nothing like MADE IN THE USA ! What ever happen to that?

Opened box, tightened as instructed. Not 3 mins in and paint is pouring all over my shoes. Called customer service and of course I got a lot of, "I understand" responses. After cleaning up my full container of paint from me and on the ground, proceeded to follow directions to a T and you guessed it, paint all over me. Now that I am down almost 2/3 of a gallon of paint and irritated to high heaven!!! How does a product work so horribly right out of the box and with following both written and customer service directions. Going back and really need to be reimbursed for all the paint that got wasted and paint all over shoes!

The Wagner Flexio 570 is a great addition to the garage or painter's van. Out of the box, I wasn't sure if this plastic thing was going to stand up to the abuse I was about to put it through.
I used it to paint about 500ft of galvanized metal fence using Acrylic Latex. I didn't wasnt to drag out a compressor, and wanted to shoot the paint non-thinned.
In one thorough coat I was able to paint the fence. It is not overspray-less, but no spray paint is. Cleanup was tough on some of the dryer areas, and the plastic restrics the use of certain harsh chemicals, but all in all this thing stood up to the job.
It's not your Dad's solenoid-driven Wagner. It has a turbine and is an HVLP sprayer. The turbine easily twists off for cleanup of all non-electric parts. It gets a little heavy after a while, but it is glove friendly with plenty of trigger room. Also great for stains.
A great middle ground spray gun between the larger paint sprayer and a compressor-based spray system.
