I used latex house paint right from the can and it did fine. They do say you might have to on some, but it will just depend on how much you want the sprayer to put out at the time.

Answer:
You may have to thin out; it depends what you are using.
There is a viscosity measurement tool included. You will use it to test the thickness of paint before pouring it into container.
You dip the small funnel (viscosity measurement tool )into the paint and then time how long it takes for the paint to flow out the bottom. Please look at the chart.

Read the manual. Should not need anything unless it got broken, You do have to pay attention to the instructions for reassembly after cleaning. It's not fragile but if you're not mechanical, oops! is possible.

should be a parts number list in your box. But I lost it too! I need a new hose but I cannot find it ANYWHERE online. Even when I put in the exact name and make of the sprayer. Frustrating on a sprayer that is barely over a year old.

We do not have a material container larger than the included 1.5 Qt. container included with that unit. The weight of a full gallon on the front of that unit would be both very tiresome and very hard on the union between the front end and the turbine.

HVLP Paint Ready Sprayer Station is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 132.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great Works great. Takes a bit to get set to spray right but does the job quick. Can do a room in about 30 min. Had no issues with it dripping paint. Nozzle does clog a bit but I just scratched with finger and able to keep going. Over all really happy with it performance

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product! This is a great product with excellent customer support. Not right off the truck I already own two other paint sprayers. One is a serious airless and the other a small touch up aerosol type. Had a job to repaint an "Orange" front door and after looking at it figured my little touch up rig might cut it. Well it did not and with a delivery date drawing near went online to see what Depot had available. The one I wanted was not sold in store, a problem they seem to have with a lot of things but the reviews and specs on this were good when I looked online. So I bought it this morning about 9am. Not a soul in the department but I went for it having read everything I could on it beforehand. This thing works great. At first I played with the settings and painted away on some sheetrock with varying results. Some not too good and some so so. I called Wagners 800 number and got a very good service gal after a short wait who did a great job. Asked all the right questions including the exact details on the paint (commercial not household stuff) I was using and came back to me shortly with a couple suggestions. My problem was splatter. After trying the suggestions I went to the last one which was to thin the paint slightly. IT WORKED IMMEDIATELY like I figured it should and I was home free. My wife came out in the shop after the first side was finished and said Wow! Looks like a million bucks. My only answer was, " This will get me the repeat business I want from this account" and smiled. I was shooting a special color match from Rodda Paints in semi gloss latex enamel (hate latex enamel) with a gloss rating of 5 and this piece of equipment did a very nice job. I highly recommend it. Take the time completely read the directions, give it a try and if you still are unsure as I was call the Wagner 800 number for some professional assistance. Best to all Bob

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than I expected I bought this sprayer to paint the ceiling of my unfinished basement. I used a good quality latex paint that was an eggshell black. I was a little leary about the thickness because it was one of the thickest paints I have ever worked with, but from the time I first pulled the trigger until I was done, this sprayer worked like a charm. It layed on an even coat and had no trouble at all spraying paint as thick as I was using. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to do my entire basement ceiling and I went through only two gallons of paint. Very pleased with the finished results. The sprayer was easy to set up after reading through the instructions, and I never had to change the initial settings that I dialed in. Cleanup was a bit tedious, but they did a great job of minimizing the parts, so it went very well. I expected the cleanup to be a pain, just because it's a paint sprayer. Seemed like a given to me. Can't wait to have to use it again.

I bought this to spray all the doors in my house (15 + 4 sets of louvre closet doors) and I painted them all in a day. I'm very pleased with the finish and had no issues. If you use common sense and clean the unit in between fill ups, you won't have any problems with blockages. The only gripe is that spraying uses a lot of paint, but i normally hate painting, so it's well worth the price.

Turned a 4-5 hour paint job into about 1.5 hours. Painted with a primer/paint combo and the coverage was smooth on textured walls. I was covering Hot pink and blue with Grey and got it with one coat. Can't wait to put this to use on other projects inside and out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Time Saver This paint sprayer is an great time saver! It is easy to use, provides good coverage and the machine is not noisy. The only thing is the container that holds the paint can get kind of heavy when spraying the high areas. But overall a great purchase and a great deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it! Easy to use! I used this to paint my open beam basement ceiling a flat black. It was easy to use and got the job done quickly. There was a decent amount of overspray though, so tape off and put up plastic sheeting where needed.
